Luxury private apartment on the outskirts of Selby, only half hours drive from York and Leeds with just over an hour to the East coast. The local country pub has a fun and friendly atmosphere and serves superb evening meals only a stones throw away. Mayes-Onette is a Perfect place to relax after a hard day of exploring or ideal for working executives to use as a base. Outside there is a pretty patio area you can enjoy using throughout your visit. Modern self contained apartment, beautifully designed throughout, offering a private fresh bright relaxing space for you to enjoy. The bedroom has a super king size bed or twin option on request, luxury linen and towels are provided, dressing table and hairdryer. Plenty of hanging space with drawers. The living area includes a double futon suitable for one adult and a comfy leather sofa, a Smart TV with Freeview. Free WiFi and USB charger points. The kitchen is suitably equipped, it’s open plan design means you can share more time together with a generous dining area offering a convenient space if you wish to work. The bathroom consists of a modern shower cubical, toiletries are provided for your convenience. The outside space is a private pretty court yard that beautifully captures the morning sunshine and for you to enjoy sitting out in the evenings. No Smoking home. No pets. Not ideal for children. Country rural location situated along side the River Aire we have many amenities and interests at your disposal, pubs, tea rooms, fishing, cycling, running and much more. We are lucky to have 'Birkin Tea Rooms' just 5 mins away, breakfasts, light lunches, cakes, it attracts many walkers and cyclists, fishermen, it sits along side their fishing lakes, just around the corner is a local produce farm shop/cafe within the 5 min drive for quality meat and veg. We are lucky to be surrounded by many little country cafes, and farm shops, which ever direction you take. On the doorstep sits our local little pub 'The Jug Inn' a traditional little village pub offering good food, a cosy fire in winter, craft ales and a beautiful beer garden, a warm & friendly place to go. Lots of beautiful county walks on our doorstep, along side the river or pretty canal, the canal can take you right into the small market town of Selby where standing proud in the town centre is the beautiful Selby Abbey which is always worth a look round, there are various shops, restaurants, also The Old Town hall where well known artists often perform. If you fancy cycling there are miles of perfect Tour de France style roads and many routes to choose. If running is your passion there are on and off road routes in your immediate vicinity. For all your essential needs there are 3 convenience stores, a fuel station, ATM and Post Office within a 5 minutes drive. By Bus - Our bus stop is 2 mins walk away where the local bus service runs through our village on the main A19 road taking you to various destinations such as Selby, York, Leeds and Doncaster. You can access the train from Selby to all the other cities not too far away, Manchester, Leeds, Scarborough and Hull. By Car - The village itself benefits from been 3 mins off the M62 junc 34, offering an easy drive Pontefract, Leeds, Bradford, Manchester, Goole, Howden and Hull. Airports - Leeds Bradford and Doncaster Sheffield are also very convenient.
