Come stay at a cozy apartment in a historical Fachwerk house. You will experience a quiet life in a modern German village within just a short drive from some of the significant historical and cultural places. We are offering you a freshly renovated two-room apartment in a historical building. Everything is new and in great condition. The newly-installed windows are well insulated and are great at noise protection. The apartment is located in the centre of historical town with some lovely walking paths in the fields and forest nearby for the healthy lifestyle. We live just next door. Historical tourism is not the only great thing about the region. The apartment is located in a region with extremely clear air and water. The tap water here is not only one of the clearest in Germany, it is noticeably clearer and tastier than even bottled water! There are several famous water springs around, such as Selters. Just within 3 kilometres, in the village of Probbach, is another mineral water spring that was pronounced to be holy in (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) for its healing properties. The place is very close to highways and high speed roads that make the nearby cities extremely accessible. Mengerskirchen itself takes an excellent care of its rich history: you can see the magnificent church right from the windows of the apartment and a minute on foot will bring you to a very well kept old castle that has been generously allowed to serve as the Rathaus (Town Hall) by the owner and now contains a lovely museum. There are several beautiful castles nearby, the most prominent of them is the Greifenstein Castle, well-known even outside of Germany. The house is located close to the city with most historical Fachwerk houses in Germany, - Limburg an der Lahn, with its famous Cathedral, winding historical streets and gorgeous views. Another nearby city, Weilburg, is well worth visiting just for its magnificent Renaissance Palace.
