Traditional 3 Bed House, great location.
Comfortable home from home. Brilliant location in the stunning Peak District with a patio and lawned garden and lovely views towards Froggatt Edge. The house has a cosy lounge with woodburning stove, traditional kitchen with dishwasher, 3 bedrooms, large bathroom and free on road parking. A community shop, cafes, pubs and train station are all in walking distance. This is our home where we live with our daughter, we love our house and location and hope that others will enjoy staying here too. This is a traditional house over 4 floors. There are 3 double bedrooms (one large attic room with a super king sized bed, one small bedroom with standard double bed, one more spacious room with standard double). The lounge has a wood burning stove, two sofas and a large window with views out to the woods towards Froggatt Edge. There is also a small rocking chair and beanbag for additional seating, and a piano. The large bathroom has a shower over the bath and also holds the washing machine and tumble dryer, alongside a warm and spacious airing cupboard with airer. The kitchen has a range cooker, dishwasher, a large extendable table, a door to the downstairs toilet and patio doors out onto the garden. The garden has a patio and picnic bench with lovely views plus a lawned area. There is also a covered patio area so you can sit outside even if it's raining! The whole house is available. We can recommend local walks, cycle and mountain bike routes or runs if you'd like guidance or leave you to your own devices! We will not be in the house during your stay but will be contactable via phone and email. There are two great local pubs within short walking distance, one just across the road that does good food and is muddy boots and dog friendly. There are plenty more pubs that you can drop into mid circular walk/ride! The community shop set in the grounds of the church is 5 minutes walk and has a small range of local produce. There is a larger Spar with a deli five minutes drive away. There is a lovely Indian takeaway in Hathersage that will deliver if you want to stay in but not cook, and a great fish and chip shop a short drive away in Stoney Middleton. The train station is a 20 minute walk from the house and has regular direct trains from Manchester and Sheffield. Free parking is available on the road outside the house. We are a dog friendly house. If you wish to bring one or two friendly and well behaved dogs with you they are very welcome, but we ask that they do not go upstairs to the bedrooms and if they are used to being on the sofas please let us know and we will leave throws out to protect them. There is a hose outside the patio doors, please use it to rinse off muddy dogs/wellies before entering the house. Please also make sure you pick up any presents left in the garden!
