Contemporary cottage in the heart of Faversham
In the heart of a conservation area my Grade II listed cottage has been lovingly renovated situated in the centre of Faversham. Minutes away from supermarkets, shops, cafe's, pubs and restaurants and within walking distance to explore the local countryside, creek or quays. Wi-Fi and parking's included, 5 mins walk from Faversham Station. 200 year old timber beams welcome you and an open atrium separates the seating area and dining space which leads through to the kitchen and secluded yard. With the entire cottage to yourselves you'll enjoy a fully renovated kitchen with integrated fridge freezer, slimline dishwasher, washing machine, Neff oven, an induction hob, a wine fridge and Nespresso machine. All plug points have integrated USB ports. Plenty of pots and pans / cooking utensils. Wine, beer and champagne glasses and fully stocked condiments for your use. The ground floor is open-plan with parquet flooring, large wooden beams with recessed dimmable spotlights, a large wooden dining table and comfortable seating area. The carpeted open stairs lead you up to the bathroom with a bath, sink and shower attachment. The upstairs balastrade looks down into the main living area and takes you through to the double bedroom at the front of the house. In the main bedroom you'll find a luxurious double bed with white Egyption cotton bedding and throw, a window onto the lane with blackout blind and curtains, a huge floor to ceiling free-standing mirror, bedside tables with lamps, alarm clock, a chest and cupboard. The pretty little secluded yard is my favourite place, at night it twinkles, a wooden bar runs the length of the kitchen with 4 high backed stools plus a bistro table and 2 chairs make it the perfect place to star gaze with a glass of wine. It's a small house ideal for 2, however if 2 more are happy to use the inflatable bed on the ground floor it can accommodate 4. The stairs are steep so unfortunately it is not suitable for disabled/wheelchair users. If you have small children please be aware the upstairs balustrades are open. With self check in arrive at your leisure, of course I will be available throughout your stay should you need me for anything at all. Full run of the cottage and yard. My second bedroom is locked off to ensure the space is clutter free to make your own. To make your break hassle free you can check yourself in and out at your leisure but I am available at any time to answer questions or offer recommendations by phone text or email. Faversham is a busy market town. Shepherd Neame, the oldest brewery in England is at the heart of the town and depending on how the wind's blowing you can smell the hops. Behind the scenes Brewery tours are really popular and get booked well in advance. Famous for its many pubs, micro pubs, restaurants and the weekly markets on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. Also a monthly vintage market and bi weekly craft markets. The creek runs through the centre and meanders out to the sea. Easy flat scenic walks around the marshes with wildlife reserves and hides. And just 15 minutes by car or train from Canterbury and Whitstable and a 30 minutes to Margate, Westcliffe or Broadstairs. Just 5 minutes walk to Faversham station with High Speed trains into St Pancras 65mins, or out to Whitstable, Broadstairs or Margate. Visitors will be able to park at the rear of the property via the lane or will be supplied with visitors parking permits to allow parking in local resident parking bay.
