Cliff Cottage is a cosy piece of history in the heart of the Derwent valley world heritage village of Cromford. Set right in the heart of the Derbyshire dales and on the edge of the Peak District this is the ideal base for exploring both areas. The cottage is great for couples or small groups of friends looking to walk, explore or just relax in this beautiful part of England. This charming cottage has 2 bedrooms, shower room, lounge diner, Kitchen and terrace garden. Built in the late 18th Century to house workers of the worlds very first factory you can expect to find a unique mix of original features and modern amenities in Cliff Cottage. From the cobbled pavement the property is entered into the cosy beamed living space which now has the modern amenities of comfortable furniture and dining furniture for four. Fireplace with electric wood burner, Flat screen television with chrome cast to access Netflix, iplayer and youtube and of course a selection of games and playing cards. The compact kitchen is modern and well equipped with fridge freezer, hob, oven, integrated washing machine/tumble dryer and dishwasher along with kettle, toaster and coffee machine. From the back door there is access to a steep terrace garden that offers views across Cromford Moors from several levels. There is seating for four people. Please be aware due to the age of the property the garden terrace is somewhat uneven so it is best to be cautious before and after alcohol! On the first floor there is a large double bedroom overlooking the mill pond that has a double bed, shelving with a selection of books, wardrobe, drawers, hairdryer, iron, ironing board and clothes horse. The wood burning stove in the bedroom is for decorative use only. On the top floor there is a modern shower room that has been fully refurbished to a high standard. Towels and bathmat are provided along with hand soap. The second bedroom is on the top floor next to the bathroom. There is a small wardrobe, full length mirror, chest of drawers and double bed. The cottage is all yours and parking is available immediately outside the front door on the cobbled area for a small vehicle. I will be available in case of any emergencies Details will be left in the cottage Cromford is a unique and quirky village on the edge of Matlock Bath that is of international importance due to the part it played in the industrial revolution. Along with amazing countryside and a Victorian Spa town on it's door step, not to mention it's proximity to the Peak district it is a truly special area of Derbyshire. Whether you want to immerse yourself in history, cycle for miles, walk for days, sample the local beers or just hide away for a weekend you can do as much or as little as you like. It's all on the doorstep. Should you wish to abandon the car the village has a local shop that has convenience items and an off license. This is the only source of cash in the village in the form of cash back. A butchers, deli and cafe, chocolate shop, several pubs, cafe, post office, cheese shop and book shop. not to mention an art gallery and antique centre at the mill.
