Cosy & Comfortable Annexe

Located on the outskirts of the village this private accommodation comprises of a bedroom, kitchen and shower room. Adjoined to our family home, but with it's own entrance for contactless access and outside space, it is perfectly proportioned for two. We are set back peacefully from the road, but from here you can easily take a trip to the coast, Norwich or into Downham Market with it's direct train to Cambridge and London. Calm and relaxing space. The bedroom features an antique king size sleigh bed, with comfy white linen, all weather duvet options, medium and firm pillows; A flatscreen television with Freesat and DVD, a cuddle chair for two and freestanding clothes rail with hangers to the other. Well appointed kitchen with a combi microwave oven, plug in induction hob, fridge, kettle, toaster, most necessary pans and utensils. A table and chairs for two to dine, DAB radio and enough space for laptops and paperwork if working away. Shower Room with basin, wc and dual head waterfall shower, towels provided. Handwash, toilet roll and some toiletries provided. Self catering, although fresh milk, tea, coffee and sugar are provided. Hairdryer and iron, with ironing board. Room to bring a travel cot if required. Guests have designated space to park on our driveway, and an outside area with bistro table and chairs sectioned off from our garden. Guest check out times may be flexible, just ask. We are just next door but respect guests privacy and as a young family are often out and about, therefore we are easily contactable by phone, sms or email. We are a short walk from the centre of Fincham, a semi rural village with population of approx 500. The house is away from the main road down a private drive. The village has a church, park and pub serving both English and Thai food. There is a petrol station at the end of our drive with a small shop, selling papers, milk, etc. We are a short drive from Downham Market, from there you could catch the train to Kings Lynn, Ely, Cambridge or London King's Cross. We are 3 minutes from the A10 and Norwich is an easy journey from here, taking around 50 minutes. We find lots to do in and around West Norfolk from eating out at many of the local gastro pubs, to visiting Sandringham and other historic houses close by, to days out on the beautiful North Norfolk coast. Apart from walking into the village, a car is essential for getting around, unless you are a keen cyclist! For evenings out there are a few taxi firms to choose from, but very limited public transport from the village itself. Please note, the broadband in our area can be slow. Whilst we do everything we can to improve the signal for guests staying with us, it is not perfect all of the time. We occasionally revert to 4G whilst browsing for example, as it is quicker. If you are relying on great WiFi for business, our place regrettably may not be for you . Also worth a mention that while we are always conscious when we have guests to keep noise to a minimum, we do have two children who love to play. You may occasionally hear the hub-bub of family life but we try as much as we can to keep the house peaceful as possible whilst guests are here! COVID I have always tried to maintain the levels of cleanliness I would expect if we went away ourselves, and do all of the prep myself. We have also always left larger gaps between guests to take the pressure off as life can get busy for us, so I feel reassured by those points alone that we are offering the safest stay we can. I will leave a check list of ‘high touch’ spots especially targeted each clean within the annexe for reference. I try to ventilate through between guests, and always keep cleaning products under the sink for guest use. We have switched to refillable jars for tea/coffe/sugar so you can be sure these are cleaned and changed each time.
