Our historic farmhouse is located in a beautiful Smoky Mountain valley with panoramic mountain views and bordered by a spring-fed stream. Come enjoy a rustic getaway in the mountains! Minutes from area destinations such as WCU and Castle Ladyhawk, the house is conveniently located between Sylva and the resort towns of Cashiers and Highlands. Enjoy area activities such as kayaking, hiking, fly fishing, have a camp fire, or simply relax on the screened-in porch and enjoy the view. Unique touches like a wood-burning stove and reclaimed lumber beams make this a special place. The house is fully furnished with bespoke luxury features including high quality 100% cotton linens, vintage quilts, and toiletries by Rudy's Barbershop. The master bedroom on the main level has a double XL bed and has the bathroom next door. Three bedrooms are upstairs, with two having double beds and one with a twin XL bed. One bathroom on the main level with a shower (no tub). Full kitchen with a breakfast bar. Dining table in sun room. Central air only serves the main level; please note that the upstairs bedrooms are not air conditioned. We provide space heaters and fans depending on the season, and all windows can be opened. Washer is located in the main house, with a clothes-line outside or an electric dryer in a separate building behind the house. Enjoy area hiking and beautiful views! We are close to Panthertown Valley, many gorgeous waterfall hikes as well as lakes and river activities. Enjoy the close proximity to WCU, Cashiers, Sylva, Dillsboro, Waynesville, Smoky Mountain National Park, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the Biltmore Estate in Asheville. PLEASE NOTE: Satelite WiFi with data limit. Not ideal for video streaming, live gaming, etc. Cell service in the area is very limited with No Service for some cell carriers. We have found that Verizon has the best coverage, with AT&T having the worst. Please do not book this rural property if you expect city-quality cell signal! Enjoy full access to the home as well as the property including our native garden. Seasonal offerings include asparagus, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries. Located in "Moody Bottoms Valley" with panoramic mountain views. The Roy Tritt House was the first house built in the Valley, by the Tritt family. This is a quiet country road close to WCU, located between Sylva and Cashiers. Easy access for fishing and hiking in the area and near several scenic lakes. Flat gravel driveway leads to gravel parking spaces This is an historic home that is more than 100 years old. We ask that all guests treat it with care and respect. We now provide composting access to reduce waste generated at the Farmhouse. We gladly provide firewood for both the wood-burning stove as well as the outdoor fire circle.
