The Cottage at the Old Rectory

Cosy 3 bed grade 2 listed cottage attached to an Old Rectory, our family home set in over 7 acres of formal gardens and woodlands. The cottage has its own private garden area with tables and chairs, BBQ and fire pit. 4 acres of woodland to the front of the house for guests to explore. There are public footpaths accessed from the property. Unlimited secure off road parking. Close to Hitchin, Stevenage and Letchworth. London and Cambridge 30mins by train. Situated in the small village of Holwell. The Cottage comfortably sleeps 5 adults with 1 main bathroom with bath and shower . Plus an additional shower room and separate toilet. The master bedroom also has a sink. Travel cot available on request. Full use of Laundry (shared with owners but separate access for each party). The Cottage is accessed up the main long drive way to The Old Rectory and is next door to our main residence. Please tell us if you are short of anything and we will do our best to help. Holwell is a very small village. Pirton is a village a mile away which has a village shop and 2 pubs . The Old George in nearby Ickleford. Hitchin and Letchworth have a wealth of pubs and restaurants to meet all tastes. Hitchin is a beautiful market town with several markets throughout the week and has a selection of chain and independent shops. Plenty of countryside woodland walks from the village, please ask for any recommendations ! Car required to get here and out and about in the area. Local taxis are readily available. Hitchin is only a short drive from the cottage approximately 10 minutes. Letchworth a similar distance. Luton and Stevenage approximately a 15 minute drive. Harpenden approximately 30 minutes drive. Trains to London run frequently taking 32 minutes into Kings Cross. Cambridge is 30 minutes on the train. Luton airport is approximately a 20 minute drive away. Stansted airport approximately 45 minutes depending on traffic. We have a friendly golden retriever called Maggie and a black and white cat called Eric. We occasionally look after our daughters dog who is also friendly.
