Gutshaus Gnevkow has gone through an extensive renovation project for the last 8 years. The refurbishment programme has been sympathetic to the original building and has retained many original features. Our Manor House very much feels like a schloss, and is easily the size of a small Berlin apartment building! The great thing about Gutshaus Gnevkow is you still have all the grand proportions, whilst being able to have the run of the whole place on a slightly more manageable scale and with central heating!! Our guest accomodation totals just ov (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) sqm on the ground and first floors and has been subject to an extensive refurbishment to make it comfortable and welcoming: - All 8 bedrooms come with ensuite bathrooms or shower rooms - 3 reception spaces with the largest measuring 11.5m x 5.75m, perfect for a yoga retreat or special event. - a modern take on a french chateau kitchen by well know Belgian design firm and with seating for dinner Overall Gutshaus Gnevkow is somewhere you can bring you family to relax for a family reunion, participate or create a yoga, Pilates or meditation retreat, or complete small company off-site. You have sole access to the use of (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) property which is on raised ground and 1st floor level, and access to the grounds of (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) m2 with off-street parking. Depending on the number of persons on the booking will depend on how many bedrooms you will have access to in the house. Minimum occupancy is upto 10 people with access to 5 bedrooms With occupancy upto 12 people you’ll get access to 6 bedrooms With occupancy upto 14 people’s you’ll get access to 7 bedrooms. Occupancy over 15 people gives you access to all bedrooms. The property is for the sole and private usage by the guests and they can ring me with any questions, there is an onsite housekeeper and gardener(in separately accessed next door accommodation) in case of emergencies. Gutshaus Gnevkow sits in an enviable location in Mecklenburg-Vorpommen just above the german/mecklenburg lake district and also close to the Baltic coast. Mecklenburg seeplan is mostly famous for for lake driven outdoor holidays that were a right of passage for many teens both now and those that grew up in the GDR era. In addition to this in recent years more cycling holidays have cropped up (often taken by the dutch). The house is also convenient for the Baltic coast and island of Usedom. You can access much of the northern Mecklenburg SeePlan and mainland Baltic coast within (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) minutes by car. Entry to the island of Usedom is 35 minute drive through Wolgast. Whilst entry to island of Rugen is just over an hour away. The hanseactic league cities and world heritage sites of Greifenwald is a 35 minute drive away, and Straslund either 50 minute drive or hour train journey. Closer to home the hill tree tops park at schloss ivenack offers an adventure park for all the family to explore nature. Go swimming in some local lakes at tutepatz or ivenack. You can cycle to tutespatz which is 5km away. Visit the local schlosses going to rack and ruin- ask for our house list and directions. Some can still be purchased at very reasonable rates (plus you’ll become our neighbour!) Go and explore the wonderful church architecture in the local districts including our village chapel that dates from 13th Century. Additionally you may consider visiting some of the more recently refurbished Schlosses and Gutshauses. These include: Gutshaus Stolpe, a 20minute drive away, is a 5 star hotel and has just celebrated being awarded a Michelin star for its restaurant. Schloss Kummerow, 25minutes away is an art exhibition space and hosts classical concerts. Schloss Kittendorf a 4 star hotel, in the architectural Style of Neo-gothic revival that was also fashionable in regency England. The local train station 'Gnevkow' is an 8 minute walk from the house, trains run hourly to Straslund and Berlin(via Neubrandenburg/Neusterlitz). We are a 14 minute drive(14 km) from Junction 29 of the A20(junction for Anklam & Usedom). In fast car you can make Berlin in 1 hour 30mins, or 2 hours at a more leisurely pace.
