The Old Cinema is a quirky 1 bedroomed self-catering flat which has a movie and retro theme. Can sleep 4 with the double sofa bed in Lounge. Includes kitchen, bathroom & bedroom, set in an RSPB nature park. Amazing rural valley views and beautiful garden. Great for walkers, steam trains, narrow boats with a canal and river down in the valley. Peaceful, stunning countryside. Close to Alton Towers, Peak District, Potteries. Trentham Estate, Leek and Cheadle. Totally self-contained and sleeps 4 comfortably. everything you need is included including all bedding and towels. There is no gas or solid fuel, just electricity. Guests have their own entrance and keys. Bathroom is off the kitchen and comprises a shower over a bath, sink and WC. Guests may wander round the wildlife garden and ponds, (three and a half acres) Outdoor tables and Breezehouse available for picnics. A few essential groceries are available for a light breakfast for the first day. Milk, tea and coffee (decaff as well as herbal) are provided and cooking can be done with induction hob, or combination microwave or electric all-in-one cooker. Kitchen is small but fully kitted out. Dietary requirements can be accommodated. The views in this secret valley are amazing and it's so quiet and peaceful but only a 20 minute drive into the Potteries or into historic market town of Leek. Pugin's Gem in Cheadle is 15 minutes, Alton towers 25, Trentham Estate and Monkey Park 30. Wetley Rocks garage is 5 minutes away for fuel and newspapers, snacks, wine/beer groceries etc. Cheadle has nearest supermarket. Nearest pub 1 mile walk down the valley. We have plenty of parking space. As much or as little as required. We are friendly and chatty but not intrusive and respect our guests' privacy. One of the family will be present during your stay. The country side is so peaceful great walking and views, lovely pubs, canals and steam trains in the valley. The Consall valley is North Staffs hidden secret valley. The Churnet valley hosts a canal, a river and a steam railway. We are not far from Alton Towers or the Monkey Park at Trentham gardens for children. There is also a Waterworld and Dimensions in the Potteries and a multi screened cinema at Festival Park and Hanley. Cineworld has just opened a lovely cinema with food court in Hanley, about 20 minutes away by car. The ceramics industry developed in the Potteries and there are several museums and old potteries still in use. You need a car. Parking is available. A lift can be arranged from Stoke train station if required at a small charge. The Black Lion pub is a mile's walk away, downhill all the way but remember - uphill on the way back!! Gardeners/wildlife enthusiasts will love this house and gardens - lots to see and explore. Some paths are steep and slippery - please take care as you use them at your own risk. There are several flights of steps around the garden. No handrails. Not suitable for disabled access. It is very dark at night as we have no street lights - you might be advised to bring a torch although we usually leave one for guests to use. Children under 2 will be free. Under 12s £10 per night.
