Step inside to the cosy sitting room where the inglenook fireplace invites you to sit back, light the wood burning stove and enjoy the charms of this welcoming room. The kitchen is small but has all you need to enjoy cooking intimiate dinners for two or rustling up breakfast before heading out for the day. Climb the narrow stairs (mind your step!) to the first floor where a small bedroom/study boasts more beautiful exposed beamed ceilings. The bathroom is also on this floor with a bath and hand-held shower attachment. Ascend another steep staircase to reach the master bedroom, with a comfy king-size bed nestled in the eaves and packed with exposed beams from floor to ceiling. Outside, a charming cottage garden with paved terrace and views open to the surrounding countryside provides garden furniture and a barbecue for lazy summer afternoons. Broadwell is the quintessential Cotswold village with its classic stone cottages, gently flowing stream with a ford, tranquil village green and of course, a well-loved local pub, The Fox Inn. Just two miles away is the small market town of Stow-on-the-Wold, which offers a variety of tea shops, restaurants, gift and antique shops which are perfect for a leisurely day of shopping. Broadwell is only three miles from Moreton-in-Marsh which has a convenient main line railway station with a regular service to London and Oxford. Local amenities can be found in nearby Stow-on the Wold, which has a supermarket, post office and many independent shops, cafes and restaurants. The celebrated Daylesford Farm Shop is only 3 miles away. The property is set within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is in easy reach of many beautiful Cotswold villages including Bourton-on-the-Water, Bourton-on-the-Hill, Broadway and Kingham and the market towns of Moreton-in Marsh, Chipping Norton and Burford. There are many walks to do in the area including those that end up at Broadwell’s popular local pub, The Fox. Other attractions in the area include the gardens at Batsford, Sezincote and Kiftsgate, nearby National Trust properties at Chastleton House, Hidcote and Snowshill Manor. A little further afield but well worth a visit is Broughton Castle, a medieval moated and fortified manor house. Mainline rail services from London Paddington run to the nearby railway station at Moreton-in Marsh. Journeys from London will take approximately 1 hour 40 minutes.
