The Neuhaus an der Pegnitz market with the Veldenstein castle is a popular holiday resort in the upper Pegnitz valley. Neuhaus is located in the Franconian Switzerland - Veldensteiner Forest Nature Park and is surrounded by one of the largest contiguous forest areas in Germany, around 400 m above sea level. The regional express train takes you to the old town of Nuremberg in half an hour. The train leaves the Neuhaus station every hour.
