Relaxing Bedroom in the Heart of St Just
St Just was once the centre of the West Cornwall mining landscape, now a world heritage site. Today, it is a bustling market town with pubs, shops and galleries all within 2 minutes walking distance of this cosy bedroom. Perfect for walking the coast path to St Ives, Land's End or Porthcurno - or jump in the car for short trips to Sennen Cove, Geevor Tin Mine and the Minack theatre or take the famous coast road to visit St Ives for the day. Our house is a contemporary take on the mining cottages, nestled on a quiet back street of St Just. We offer privacy where your accommodation and bathroom will be on separate floors to ours. The bathroom is shared with us, the owners only, and there is a spare WC on the ground floor so feel free to make the most of the facilities and indulge in long baths and showers should you so wish! We are able to accommodate children up to the age of two, either in a 'Next to Me' crib or a full size cot. We are also able to provide a steriliser, baby bath and changing mats. Please advise on booking if your baby or toddler will be joining you. St Just has limited street and driveway parking, however there is a free and safe carpark around a 4minute walk from our house. You will have access to both bathroom and downstairs WC. Kitchen can be made available with a head's up. Generally I work from home so will be at hand to answer any questions during your stay. If I am out, I am never far away. If you need any guidance on where to eat or what to do I will be very happy to help. We can accommodate children under 2 years old - please get in touch for details on the facilities we provide. St Just is an amazing place - the mining history, the ancient landscape, the arts scene as well as the numerous pubs and cafes make the town a fun and fascinating place. In particular, I love hiking and have a thorough knowledge of interesting finds 'of the beaten track' as well as along the spectacular main coast path. I can point you in that direction of that hidden stone circle - or simply the best place to watch the sunset - just let me know! St Just is approximately a 15 minute drive from Penzance which is the closest train station. Taxi fare is usually £20-£35 depending on whether you are traveling at night / on a sunday. Buses also run to St Just from Penzance although they are not frequent so I would recommend checking before you travel. If you need any more advice, please ask! During the summer months open-topped busses run from St Just to either Penzance or Land's End which I would highly recommend.
