We are very happy to welcome you as our guest. Our house was built in 1936, completely renovated but preserving all original Art Deco features. However it’s the size of a “house”, it has a “castle” feel to it. You will be staying in a green and quiet environment, but still nearby to all points of interest Flanders has to offer: Zele is situated in the middle of the triangle Antwerp/Ghent/Brussels. The house is located at 3’ walk from bus and railway station and has free parking. Your room is on the first floor. It has a double bed – separate bathroom and toilet (we provide towels). The room is equipped with a double bed, ideal for couples, single travelers and business people. You have te possibility to make a cup of coffee or tea in your room. There is also a mini-fridge. Its the host city of Roparun and has a very vivid community life. Our house is at only 2’ walk from city center with bakery, supermarkets and several pubs, bistrots/restaurant, shops. Zele has market on Tuesday mornings. The Cultural Center & theater "CC De Wiek" is at the end of our street and offers a divers programm of activities. Nearby cities worthwile visiting, are: - Dendermonde which is known for the decennial procession of the 'Ros Beiaard', the béguinage (UNESCO heritage) (10 km) - Aalst, famous for carnaval (20 km) - Lokeren, that is host for the annual music festival 'Lokerse Feesten' (7km) - Ghent: capital city of East-Flanders, beautiful old city center and famous for a summer 10-days 'Gentse Feesten' in July. - Overmere with its beautiful lake, nature and walking/cycling paths (8km) Train & Bus station at 3' walk / City center at 2' walk From Zele, it’s only 25’ drive to Antwerp or Ghent ; 50’ drive from/to Brussels Airport (1h by train, direct connection).
