Rest & Play ♣ Cottage w/tub, sauna, garden + view

This older cottage got a much needed fresh-up in July 2020 and March 2021. Re-designed, new amenities / furniture etc. Located on a standard Recreational Park, at the edge of the Maashorst, a beautiful nature reserve in Brabant. Our cottage is older, but has central heating, double glazing and a pellet heat stove for the colder winter months. From the cottage you overlook the fields: Holland in its purest form! 2 adults+3 kids max (5 total). Located between other cottages on a holiday park. It is an older, wooden cottage, and over the years some extensions have been on, which resulted in a nice pleasant, open living / dining space. Although the ceiling is low, there are lots of windows. There is a big dining table with comfortable large seating for 4 people (+ baby chair available). The kitchen is compact but functional. There is an electrical stove, fridge (with small freezer) and dishwasher (no oven). The living room area has a large comfy couch, from which you can see the garden (and view!) and the television (Smart TV). Underneath the couch are drawers filled with kids toys and books / magazines. Between the couch and the dining area there is a fireplace (pellet stove), including a cozy seating area. There is also a record player and some old records. There is a bed box (bed stay) with a comfy double bed. From the dining area you can access the bathroom (shower), as well as the kids bedroom with holds a bunkbed and optional (travel) babybed. From the living room you enter the Garden Room where you find the bathtub. Outside is our Infrared sauna in the shack in the back of the garden. Also note that the house is on the countryside (although on the outer edge of a recreational park ) and yes, there are spiders and insects here. It's a part of nature, they belong here, they live here, so there is not much we can do about them. There is also a fish pond. Completely guarded off by a fence, but fun for kids to observe. All areas are able to access, except for the outdoor shack. You can only enter and exit the Recreational Park it is on, by a card that you get upon first entering the house. The cottage is located on the PRIVATE PART (park Blokland) of Recreational Park de Heidebloem. It has neighbouring houses on two sides, a street with private parking in the front of the house, and a view from the garden behind the house. As Park Blokland owners, we have access to the Recreatiepark Heidebloem facilities (pool, playground, bike rental,...). You have to walk/drive through Recreational Park the Heidebloem, to get to Park Blokland. In our garden is a backfence, you can use that to start walking, or biking through the area, without having to cross Recreational Park the Heidebloem every time. There is a range of small, picturesque, idyllic villages nearby, such as Grave, Schaijk, Ravenstein and Zeeland that will certainly charm you. You can enjoy walking or cycling in the De Maashorst Nature Reserve. The 3,500 hectares of pure natural beauty demand to be discovered. It is the surprising green heart of Brabant. De Maashorst has, for example the “Docus de Das-pad”, a very nice forest kids trail. The entrance is next to the Boshut (camping hartje groen). If you're looking for a larger city and more entertainment, you are in Den Bosch in 15 minutes drive. Nijmegen and Eindhoven are also not too far! Easiest (and advisable) access is by car. But biking around in the area is fantastic. NO loud music allowed. NO parties. NO smoking. NO drugs. NO animals. NO noise. NOT allowed to invite people to the house (unless we are informed). NOT allowed to have more people stay in the house then booked for. Additionally, this house is : our quick escape, our getaway, our breath of air, our childrens playground, our creative outlet, our pride and joy, our retreat, so please treat our home as you would your own.
