Beautiful Peak District Georgian Manor House

Stay in true 'to the manor born' style in this luxurious wing of Mappleton Manor. You have the house and garden to yourselves as well as ample private parking spaces at the end of a long drive. Inside there are spacious, Georgian rooms with shutters and high ceilings but the house still has a cosy, welcoming feel. George Eliot chose this beautiful spot, on the banks of the River Dove, with soaring 360 degree views, to pen Adam Bede! What will its setting inspire in you? This is a special house in a unique setting. You will fall in love with the 360 degree views and the towering Peaks of Thorpe Cloud and Bunster Hill just a short distance away. This large manor normally sleeps 7 in total in three bedrooms, with the added option of a small blow up bed for another child - on request and payment of a small supplement. Discounts may be available for small size parties who only require one bedroom - please ask on booking. All bedding and towels are included as well as essentials such as shower gels, coffee, tea and sugar and a huge basket of logs for the cozy log burning stove. Make your breakfasts even more special with our free-range eggs from Chatsworth Estate-reared hens. Depending on availability and time of arrival we will meet you with a delicious home-made cream tea or a glass of wine. We also offer a full range of luxurious spa treatments including facials, manicures and masssages as well as pamper parties for any number of guests from only £15 each. Guests have complete and private use of the house. We live in the other half of the Manor building, but are totally separate from the manor holiday accommodation. We are on hand to welcome guests and answer any queries but most of the time we leave you to yourselves to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the area. There is ample private parking and a secluded, private garden. There are no neighbours and the house and garden are not overlooked by anything other than a few sheep or the horses grazing in the field. Private entranceway. We are usually on hand to look after our guests but at the same time can offer you complete seclusion and privacy. The local pub serves guest ales, superb food and is just a short stroll along the banks of the River Dove - possibly one of the best reasons to come. We are also so close to Alton Towers and just a hop away in the car from Chatsworth. Bakewell, Buxton, Leek and all the attractions of the Peak District are literally on the doorstep. Walkers will love its location. We have off road parking available on site for several cars. Our beds are amazingly comfy - all our guests comment on it. We have only luxury mattresses such as Vi Spring and cotton bed linen with a choice of pillows to suit your requirements. Please note the price quoted is usually per night for a party size of 7 - discounts may apply per night for more than two nights booked and for smaller party sizes / less beds needed. Please do ask if either apply to you. During peak times such as bank holidays we have a three night minimum stay or fee and during some school holidays a five night minimum stay or minimum fee could apply. For one night stays, especially at the weekend, there may be a supplement per person. Please ask for further information before requesting to book especially if your dates include a bank holiday.
