Stunning Views over The Shibden Estate This is a luxurious self catering home on the outskirts of Halifax Town Centre within 5 minutes walk to Northowram village. It is the perfect destination for business or leisure stays. Enjoy walking, cycling or just relaxing. We have 4 bedrooms one kingsize with en-suite. We have two rooms with combination beds in each room, these can be converted to single or kingsize if preferred. House bathroom with bath & shower facilities. Utility room with toilet. We offer a large open plan lounge with a 55" T.V. There is a quiet room for reading this room has a bed settee if required. Also, a separate office with a desk, seating, small drinks fridge and a T.V. for sports enthusiasts to get away. Outside we have a spacious balcony with seating for 6 people with electric wall mounted heating for cooler evenings. Access to this is through two bi-folding doors, one from the kitchen the other from the lounge/dining area with fantastic views over the park. The property is on three levels. The top two floors are available for guests only. The guests have their own entrance. Guests are limited to the entrance to the property and balcony only. The house gardens are strictly out of bounds. We are currently in the process of landscaping the garden therefore are not part of the rental agreement. The lower level is private. We have our own private entrance. We live on the lower level which is completely separate accommodation. We are available during working hours 9-5 pm. We will send full instructions to you before your stay, access can be gained through a key box ready for your arrival. We have many places of interest on our doorstep. Shibden Hall & Estate, The Halifax Piece Hall, Eureka children's museum, Bankfield museum (Duke of Wellington). Dean Clough. The Halifax Bus/Train station is only 10 minutes away giving you access to Hebden Bridge, Haworth, The Yorkshire Dales and much much more. Northowram, which is a ten-minute walk from the property offers a selection of shops, pubs and places to eat out. 22 The Square (also takeaway pizza). The Smokehouse, The Shoulder of Mutton. The Windmill Inn. Also, there is an excellent Fish and Chip shop in the village. Further afield in the valley is the famous Shibden Mill Inn which is a 17th-century country pub that is in the Good Pub Guide. Dogs are allowed. The food is excellent! The Stump Cross Inn is 5 minutes downhill from the house, dogs are welcome outside but not allowed inside. Food is served but they do recommend booking a table, especially on Sundays. The Windmill Inn is 10 minutes uphill from the house and dogs are welcome inside and outside, unfortunately, they do not do food. Shibden Park is a 10 minutes walk from the house it has a cafe that offers a choice of snacks and drinks with seating inside and out, dogs are welcome too. We are fortunate that straight across from our property there is access to a large woodland area which is ideal for dog walks, you can access the village via this route too. The area is full of fantastic local walks and a bus/car ride to plenty more. We are also lucky to have buses stop at the bottom of the hill that will take you to either Halifax, Brighouse, Bradford or Leeds. It is also only a short 15 minute drive to the M62 Junction 25 Brighouse or Junction 24 Ainley Top/Huddersfield.
