Lovely annex - a home away from home
Private annex with two single beds in the bedroom that can be pushed together to make a double bed (if requested). There is also a sofa bed in the living room that can sleep up to two people. Travel cot also available. This is a private annex set in the garden of the main house with a private entrance and roadside parking. There is a key safe where keys can be left if you do not want to take them out and about with you. We have a friendly black labrador dog who lives in the main house with us. He may bark when you arrive at the property as he likes to let us know when someone is there. Other than this he won't bother you but you may see him in the garden. Should you need an iron/ironing board during your stay, this can be available upon request. Myself and my husband Andy live in the main house on site. One of us will be here to greet you on your arrival but at other times if we're not at home we will be contactable by phone for any questions you might have. The annex is a great location for visiting Stonehenge which is a short drive away (1.9 miles) or can be walked to, across the World Heritage Site. Stonehenge can be viewed from the byway but you will need to walk or drive to the Visitor Centre to purchase a ticket for entry to the stones. Woodhenge is 0.5 miles from the annex at the top of the road. Amesbuy town centre is approximately 1 mile from the annex and easily walked. The local town has supermarkets, pubs, a bakery, restaurants, cafe's and take-aways. Solstice Park is also close by for places to eat and drink. The historical city of Salisbury is 8 miles south where you can visit the famous Salisbury Cathedral and the historical site of Old Sarum. There are also plenty of shops, restaurants and a cinema. Parking is available in the city centre or you can use the Park & Rides. There are fishing lakes locally. There is a bus stop approximately 200m from the property with bus routes to surrounding areas. The closest train stations are in Salisbury, Grately and Pewsey. There are plenty of picturesque walks nearby including Salisbury Plain. The annex is just off the A303 with easy access to the West Country and London.
