Ideally located in Bledington so you can explore the best of the Cotswolds. A pretty, three bedroom, end of terrace cottage in a quiet courtyard close just off Church Street. It is a short walk away from the award winning pub, the King's Head, our terrific new community shop and cafe and the village green. The mainline station of Kingham is just 1 mile away (and within walking distance), so why not ditch the car and spend a day in Oxford too (35 minutes by train). 你可以从火车站步行到房子. 您可以租用电动自行车. The cottage is a small three bedroom cottage with a king size bed in the largest bedroom and two single beds in the smaller rooms. The house has been re-decorated, and recently re-carpeted upstairs - the kitchen and bathroom will be updated next year. There is Fast Fibre broadband, a smart TV and a Bluetooth music speaker provided. The house is 1,000 sq ft - in case this is needed! The whole house I live nearby so please let me know if there is anything you need to make your stay as pleasant as possible. This pretty Oxfordshire village, four miles south-east of Stow-on-the-Wold and six miles south-west of Chipping Norton, has a 15th century church, pretty village green and excellent local pub. It is a perfect launch pad for the many places to visit in the area, but perhaps you might prefer to chill out in one of the many excellent vilage pubs, or restauraunts. Walks - Bledington lies in the Evenlode valley, and forms part of the Gloucestershire–Oxfordshire boundary and stands on the Oxfordshire Way. For the nature lovers among you, many lovely walks of varying length can be enjoyed directly from Bledington and Foscot, Footpaths are signed clearly from all sides of the villages. Walk over to Kingham for lunch at The Wild Rabbit, or The Plough, or even Daylesford Organic Farm Shop if you are feeling stronger. If you go to the far side of Foscot you will discover the nature reserve at Foxholes, an ancient woodland maintained by the Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust. The bluebells in May are wonderful. The village is built round a rectangle of streets, with the church in the south corner, and the green, with most of the older houses near it, on the northwest side. The village green is a large unenclosed stretch of grass, with a stream running through it – and usually, a happy and busy gaggle of ducks. The village holds a summer fete on the green every June with a mix of new and traditional stalls. One of the main draws to Bledington is the annual music festival, held in early June. Over three summer evenings, the church acts as venue for top-class performers from all over the world. By bus: (Website hidden by Airbnb) By train: The nearest rail station is Kingham, 1 mile away, connecting commuters and visitors to London (90mins) and Oxford (30 mins) via GWR’s hourly service on the London-Worcester line. Please see: (Website hidden by Airbnb) The new Bledington village shop is now open! ) I am quite sure it will be brilliant for the village - and rather handy for our guests too 😁 as it is only a short stroll away from the house! Please use it as it’s a community shop which will thrive if you make purchases there. It has excellent booze, a charming coffee shop and all the essentials (indeed some lovely luxuries) that you might need. Bicycle Hire and tours using traditional, hybrid and the amazing electric bicycles. TY Cycles can deliver and collect so the bicycles are available at the cottage for your stay!
