Situated on the edge of Newbury, Rookwood Farmhouse is close to golf courses, the Watermill Theatre and Donnington Castle. Highclere Castle, is also nearby, as is Newbury Racecourse and Michelin-star restaurants. Stockcross is 2 miles outside Newbury and is a great location for access to the South Coast, London, Oxford, Reading, Stonehenge, Salisbury, Bath, Bristol and beyond. London Paddington is approximately 45 minutes from Newbury by train. A spacious five bedroom house with separate drawing room that opens with french door access to the wonderful gardens. The Chinz (Kingsize) Bedroom has a walk in shower En-Suite, and the Blue (Super king), Au pair's (Queen size) share a private bathroom. A fully equipped farmhouse kitchen/diner with Aga, with separate dining room as well. There is also a working fireplace for those cosy winter nights. Guests will have access to all listed rooms and shared access to the pool in season and gardens We are fully contactable for all bookings. The neighbourhood is a very quiet village location with excellent links to the motorway and British Rail network within 10 minutes. There is a post office and general store in the village For the guests who like to ramble, we are located near numerous walks and within 15 minutes of the Berkshire Downs.
