A recently renovated cottage

Gite Vue des Montagnes is a recently renovated cottage which sleeps a maximum of 6 people. It has English / French TV and WIFI available. Two newly-renovated gites are set in around two hectares of grounds in an extremely peaceful location with amazing panoramic views of the Pyrenees. They can be rented individually or together. Domaine de Bertre comprises of two gites - Gite Vue des Montagnes and Gite de Bertre. Both benefit from generous sized bedrooms upstairs and a relaxed, open plan layout downstairs. Each has a with wood burning stove, English satellite TV and WiFi internet access. They are very family-friendly with a UV-treated pool (shared with the other gite, OR the owners) enclosed to French safety standards, swings, and a large, netted trampoline. Children's toys and books are provided. Local attractions include the mediaeval towns of Mirepoix and Carcassonne, some of Europe's largest caves, several beautiful, supervised swimming lakes, animal parks where you can variously see eagles, wolves, bison and reptiles - there is also a safari park in Toulouse. Nearby you can take part in kayaking, canoeing, horse or pony riding or a 'parcours dans les arbres' (zip wires, rope ladders, etc) suitable for children as young as three.
