Please NOTE we do NOT share you with strangers in the house, it is all for you and your friends/relatives, It's home! Welcome. The space is made of a total 6 bedrooms and 2 common rooms as sleeping area, 2 lounges, 2 dinning rooms, 2 kitchens, 4 toilets and 4 bathrooms, the bungalows are adjacent to each other within the same gated compound. 1 Bedroom has a fixed king-bed and the other 5 bedrooms have beds that can combined to make them one king-bed for each bedroom. we require advanced notification to make the changes. Guests have access to books on Luyia culture and others, 2 fire-places within the houses, large garden, porch, 2 lounges, 2 spacious Kitchens each with utensils, 2 dining areas, ample parking, washing machine, Iron box and board, hair-dryer, mosquito nets and rackets. At Lamanis Haven we love interacting with our guests but we do understand that your privacy is paramount, we are available to you on your request. (Guests are received and helped around as need be). Ichina neighborhood is serene within a rural set-up with proximity to Kakamega forest and Kakamega town. Lamanis Haven, has a scenic view of slopes, forest and sun rise. Neighbors are humble, peaceful and very outgoing. One can easily walk to a bus stop for public transport, motorcycle service is available from home (though safety is an issue), Taxi transport is reliable, car hire from reputable company with driver is a better choice and its affordable. Lamanis Haven is located approximately 52Kms to Kisumu international airport and approximately 20 minutes drive to Kakamega airstrip. Kakamega county the second most populated after Nairobi county is well known for the crying-stone, bull-fighting, Kakamega forest and bird-watching. Our central location between Buyangu and Shinyalu sides of kakamege forest makes it easy for forest tourists/researchers to plan their activities between the two sides of the forests. For sports lovers, we are just about 10 minutes drive to Bukhungu stadium, Kakamega Golf and tennis club and local gyms. Due to the forest, Kakamega county and its environs recieves lots of heavy rains mostly in the afternoons, this could be accompanied by lighten and thunder. The terrain takes in all the rain waters within minutes it doesn't flood but power black-outs are a common thing, however, at Lamanis Haven we do have a generator power back-up.
