It’s set in unspoilt peaceful countryside yet only a 5 minute drive into Stock Village with its four outstanding pubs, cafe and Greenwood’s Hotel and Spa. There are two local pubs in West Hanningfield one of which is within walking distance. The vibrant Chelmsford City Centre is only a 10 minute drive. The cottage entry is via a lock box. One bedroom with King size bed, ample storage space with Jack and Jill shower room with power shower basin and toilet accessed via the bedroom or sitting room. Double Sofa bed available in Sitting room. Smart TV in main area and bedroom and free internet available. Fully fitted kitchen with oven, dishwasher, washing machine, electric hob and microwave. gas central heating throughout. The use of the Tennis Court is by arrangement only but is free to use. There is now a private walled garden that is accessed through patio doors from the living area. Separate entrance to private apartment. Views of beautiful garden. Off road parking. Living on site so usually available within minutes or hours depending where I am. We have a lovely local pub The Three Compasses that is only a 10 minute walk via bridlepaths. Probably more a Summer route if walking. A slightly longer walk is The Ship Pub at the top of Ship Road, It has recently been taken over by new Management and now does amazing food. Sunflower Cottage is located in a quiet country lane and is surrounded by a network of beautiful footpaths accessed immediately next to the property. There are also many other beautiful walks nearby some along tow paths that enable you to see the amazing countryside and all nature has to offer. Inside the Cottage you will find details of many walks along with maps and any other information you may need to enjoy the Essex outdoors. Hanningfield Reservoir is nearby with its stunning views, nature reserve and cafe that serves breakfast lunch and snacks. The famous RHS Hyde Hall is only a 10 minute drive away and offers several locations on site to enjoy lunch or tea having walked round it’s beautiful gardens and grounds. The riverside and seaside towns of Maldon, the home to the famous Thames barges and Burnham on Crouch yaghting Mecca of the East Coast and West Mersey, Frinton, Walton on the Naze and Clacton are all within an hours drive. Nearest train stations are Ingatestone, Chelmsford and Billericay taking approximately 40 minutes into London Liverpool Street. West Hanningfield has some beautiful walks. There is public transport available into Chelmsford from the end of Blind Lane but a car is really required if you wish to explore the local area.
