If you are looking for a relaxing beach day you have two spectacular choices, both less then 40 minutes away. Travel 25 minutes to Panmure Island beach which features a long white sandy beach, lighthouse, and Panmure Island Provincial Park. A short 40-minute drive will get you to one of PEIs most picturesque white sandy beaches, Basin Head “singing sands” beach. The cottage is minutes away from Eastern PEIs' largest community of Montague which includes all the necessary amenities (gas stations, grocery stores, pharmacies). Montague also includes, many locally owned and operated restaurants and multiple local craft breweries, which allow you to try some fine local and unique beer. A large driveway with ample space allows parking for multiple vehicles.
