This listing is for our attic room (see Victorian House - Conservation Zone for double room), which is a really spacious room at the top of the house!!! This is a lovely Victorian house in a quiet part of the Avenues, close to bustling areas, such as Princes Avenue, and the peaceful Pearson Park. This Dutch style design of this Victorian house is unique to the Avenues. It was built in 1884 and retains many original features. Although we are currently renovating the house this room is finished and the rest of the house is still in a very good condition as you can see from the photos. This listing is our attic room. The room has a television, with a DVD player with a huge library of those to choose from, and there is free wi-fi in all rooms. Guests are obviously welcome to watch TV in our lounge. The house also has a lovely garden with a fountain. You will have access to the shared bathroom. Please note there is no bath in this house, but a lovely shower in the renovated bathroom. You would also have access to the lounge, dining room, kitchen and garden. Basically everywhere! We both work full time, but around in the evenings, so you can interact with us as little or as much as you like. Park Avenue is in a quiet part of the conservation zone, but only a few minutes walk to the bustling bars of Princes Avenue, the shopping on Newland Avenue and the tranquility of Pearson Park. The area has a great feel and full of eccentric people which we love. If you look the area up on Wikipedia it is known as the 'muesli belt'! You can basically walk to Newland and Princes Avenues, with the university only about 20 minutes away by foot. Beverley is a 15 minute drive and the centre of Hull is a 5 minute drive or a 25 minute walk. There are excellent bus services and good taxis. Please note that we are a gay couple and therefore this is a gay friendly house. We also have a cat called George! There is plenty of free parking outside the house, although it can be harder to park in the evening, but never impossible. Please be careful walking on green verges alongside road as these can be very muddy and can hide hidden pleasures. We both work full time so difficult for us to welcome any guests before 5.30pm during the week, but please double check first.
