Nice flat in countryside near Lille

The holiday flat occupies the 1st floor of our house in Santes, a small town near Lille (10km) and has its own access through an outdoor staircase. You will have everything you need to discover the culture and nature of Northern France and Belgium. You have your own flat, with an independent access through an outdoor staircase, but we are living in the same house and would be glad to help you and inform you, if you need it! The guests will have access to a complete furnished flat with one double bed, one fitted kitchen with a fridge and an induction hob, a bath with a shower and toilets, a built-in wardrobe, a flat screen, etc. There's a free parking nearby. We would be happy to provide as much information as necessary about the places to visit nearby! Santes is a small and quiet town in Northern France (Nord-Pas de Calais), not far from Lille (10 km), which was the european cultural capital in 2004. The region is now famous since the international success of the movie "Welcome to the land of the Ch'tis". Santes is, thanks to its central place in the region ideal to visit not only the historical architecture and lively atmosphere of Lille, famous for its giant flea market at the beginning of September. You could also visit one of the numerous belfries of the region, which are listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites, or one of the fine arts museums of the region, see the impressive citadels in Vauban’s Square Field, the immense First World War battlefields and the new museum about the Australian battle of Fromelles, which is nearby, and the giant blockhouses of the Second World War. The Nord-Pas de Calais Mining Basin has also been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site and welcomes the Louvre-Lens, a splendid an rich museum. For those who prefer nature, there are numerous walking trails not far from the flat, and beautiful parcs like the award-wining "Jardin Mosaïc" (open from Easter to the end of October). Or why not drive to the breathtaking seacoast or to one of the world famous historical belgian cities, such as Bruges, Tournai, Ghent, Mons and Namur. Welcome to the land of the Ch'tis !
