Zen room in a village house

Charming room in a village house with garden, near fishing ponds, the river Somme, 5 min far from Corbie & Villers-Bretonneux (Memorial of 14-18), 20 min far from Albert, 1/2 an hour far from Amiens & Péronne... In the heart of Nature and History . Ideally situated in the sector of WW1 sites, near towns and any conveniences, and just a step from paths and hiking trails (by foot, bike, horse...) I am very pleased to offer the hospitality in my small charming house to all the tourists arriving in our wonderful Picardie and wishing to discover her various facets while spending a pleasant time. I will also be pleased to be your guide, when I can be available, to show you my Picardie. I will also try to adapt myself to your specific demands and help you to organize your stay in advance. Just ask. We have the reputation in Picardie to be cold and introvert people. This is not false. Certainly due to the numerous wars and invaders we had to suffer from, and to the fact that, still nowadays, people tend to cross the region, but don’t stay. If you take time to stay longer, you will discover that we have so many treasures (architecture, people, nature…) and that we can be warm inside, generous and friendly… More specifically concerning people coming for the commemorations and the remembrance sites, we shall try to accompany you during the future ceremonies, even if, in this matter, our character may be much more to hide the pain and try to forget. Sorry for that… We’ll try to be present and attentive to your needs. Let’s hope these shared moments can contribute to keep the memory alive, help to build a more peaceful world for us and for the coming generations, and also help to continue maintaining a good relation over time… In any case, as far as I am concerned, be sure : “I will try my best for my guests”.
