Cosy town house off village green

We love it here in our Charnwood village home,close to Leicester and East Midlands airport, with 3 universities nearby. You might be an academic visiting a conference or visiting as a tourist. There's so much to see and do with great transport links. Idyllic Charnwood village, central location, rural pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Excellent public transport links to Leicester, Loughborough and Nottingham. East Midlands Airport nearby, easy Midland Mainline rail link to London 70min Edwardian village house with cottagey feel. Private room decorated in Cath Kidston shabby chic style. Large modern shower room. Linen and towels provided. TV, hairdryer , tea and coffee making facilities in guests' room. Wifi internet access, books and magazines available. Separate sitting room for guests' use with wood burning stove and comfy sofa to relax on. Guests welcome to cook in well equipped kitchen and use toaster and microwave. Have a go at playing the piano or relax on the sunny garden terrace designated for guests' sole use. The room is in my home where I live so I am mostly around to help. I have tried to create spaces where you can be enjoy some privacy but you are welcome to chat and to interact with us if you prefer. Rothley is a thriving Leicestershire village with a post office, range of shops, pubs and restaurants. Bradgate Park, a local beauty spot, is close by and there are lots of other attractive places for country walks and riverboat hire. Take a trip on real steam train from the Great Western Railway station at Rothley. Close to Leicester with with Richard III Visitor Centre, the National Space Centre and the Cultural Quarter, you can also sample the cultural diversity of The Golden Mile. Universities of Loughborough and Leicester are quickly reached from Rothley. Day trips to London are easy with a 1hour 10 minute journey by rail. The convenient motorway network makes it possible to combine visits to many other tourist attractions such as Stratford upon Avon and Warwick Castle as well as those based in the East Midlands. Rothley has excellent public transport links connecting East Midlands Airport, Nottingham Parkway, Leicester and Loughborough railway stations. The bus stop is 2 minutes walk away and cycles can be hired locally. If you need to hire a car this can be done in the next village and taxis/ private hire can be easily arranged. I have a gentle and friendly mature spaniel dog who enjoys interacting with guests too. If this might bother you I can arrange for him to stay with a friend during your stay, just let me know in advance. I can offer off road parking for my guests which is a bonus in a village location. Rothley is a thriving village and there's plenty of scope for great walks in the countryside as well as visits to tourist attractions such as the steam railway and Bradgate Park. Off road parking is available at my house. A regular bus service connects the village to Leicester with easy transport links to Loughborough and Nottingham. East Midlands airport is readily accessible by public transport too. There's no problem organising taxis and car hire is available in the next village. Cycle hire is possible with notice.
