Avon Lodge is a property with a difference. Our accommodation is self-contained and available for your exclusive use. Surrounded by farmland in the quiet village of Lower Seagry, Chippenham, the Lodge is the perfect destination for a relaxing break. Whether you are working in the local area, exploring the West Country or visiting family nearby you are sure to enjoy the warm 'home from home' feeling Avon Lodge has to offer. We are just a short drive from junction 17 on the M4. Avon lodge can sleep up to four people. Both the green and blue room located on the first floor have double beds, one with an indulgent sprung mattress the other with a firm memory foam mattress. The beds are made up with luxurious 100% Egyptian cotton, with goose down duvets, for a restful nights sleep. The green room is south facing with views over the garden and onto fields, and the north facing blue room looks over more farmland. The skylights fill the rooms with beautiful natural light for early risers or the blackout blinds allow for a pleasant lie in. Both rooms include a wardrobe with hanging space. The two double bedrooms share a bathroom. We know ourselves how nice it is to be treated when staying away from home, so we have installed a beautiful slipper bath perfect for relaxing in at the end of the day. The spacious bathroom also includes a separate shower for convenience. Guest towels are provided and are laid out in the bedrooms on arrival and are changed upon request. The Lodge also has a cloakroom on the ground floor. The kitchen is fully fitted with electric cooker and hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, and essential cookware. We also provide tea, coffee, sugar, milk, washing up liquid and tea towels. We believe having the access to a kitchen provides those wishing to stay longer or those having to work away from home on business, with the home comfort of preparing your own evening meal or snack. The entrance to the lodge is through the conservatory. A dark oak oval table which seats four guests provides a wonderful setting for dining. The 180° view allows you to take in the garden surrounds as well as the grazing cattle in the distant back fields. The sitting room situated on the ground floor is ideal to relax in of an evening with two 2-seater sofas. In the colder months, you can even switch on the electric fire to create a cosy atmosphere where you can curl up and watch something on the plasma television. We have a Freesat box which provides an excellent image as well as the HD channels and a DVD player. We have parking available for up to two cars - if you need more space, please let us know in advance and we'll see what we can do to accommodate. Alongside the cottage, you'll also have access to the garden. Chris and Carole will be on hand to greet you and help you with anything you may need during your stay.
