Peaceful, cosy cottage near Kolpa river

The house is located in the village Podzemelj. It is placed on the historic hillside Kucar. Nearby is also river Kolpa and campsite Podzemelj. The house is quite new and well maintained. It is built as the vineyard cottage, since there used to be a vineyard directly below the house. That is also why there is stone cellar in the ground floor. This makes a house ground floor pleasantly chilly in hot summer days. The house has two floors with separate entrance. The entrance bellow has a massive wooden antique like front door with big key. In lower floor, there is a small but well equipped open space kitchen (with sofa bed), a stone cellar and toilet (with washing machine and water heater). In the upper floor there is a bathroom, bigger room and cabinet. Some would say that the best feature of upper floor is a balcony with a wonderful view of Bela Krajina and Gorjanci. In front of the house there is quite big paved courtyard with a working outdoor fireplace (which can also be used as a grill). In late summer and beginning of autumn guests can enjoy organic apples around the house. Guest can acces the whole house. One can always reach the host via telephone or email. The location of the house is in village Podzemelj, which is approximately 6 km from Metlika (the closest town), 10 km from Črnomelj, 3 km from nearest train station (Gradac). A car can be parked directly in from of the house or on a nearby grass. There are also a few campsites nearby, the closest and the biggest being Podzemelj (800m). There is a small market in the village (400 m), while there are more stores in Metlika and Črnomelj. In addition to that there a few restaurants nearby and also a church 100 m bellow the house. All the facilites (including the campsite) can be easily reached by foot.
