This 1880's Historic Riverside Tavern was completely remodeled in 2017, maintaining as much of the original character as possible. The Village of Kohler moved the building to its' current location in 1908 - eventually closing the tavern to establish the Kohler Women's Club in the 1920s. It opened with a tea room on the first floor as well as the upstairs being home to the original Kohler Girl Scouts. This 1400 square foot unit is like stepping back in time – warm and comforting at the end of a quiet street. Care was taken to reestablish historic features by repairing the exposed brick chimney, restoring the maple floors and oak trim to their original luminance, and converting the tavern doors to sliding barn doors to create the third bedroom. The unit’s aesthetic – historic meets modern – is evident in the furniture and décor choices. It is a very short drive some of the best golf in the Midwest, home to several PGA Championships and the 2020 Ryder Cup. Nearly everything is within walking distance: restaurants, shops, the market, the Sports Core and more. Blackwolf Run Golf course is a 2-3 minute drive and Whistling Straits Golf Course is about a 10 minute drive on the country back roads.
