Juniper house is a deceptively spacious, stunning Grade 2 listed house. Dating back to the 17th century this period house is ideally situated on the beautiful village green. With direct train to Paddington and easy road links this setting is perfect for exploring the stunning Cotswolds. The house has many original features and also modern amenities too. The house has a private, lawned walled garden with patio area. The house is listed as hosting 8 guests. It is possible to host 2- 4 more if req. Kingham is a well known village in the area, having been awarded the "village of the country" by Country Life magazine. We have two michelin starred pubs in the village, and Daylesford organic store and health barn is half a mile away. The village has a well-stocked shop and post office also. Nearby towns are Moreton in Marsh, Chipping Norton and Stow on the Wold - all worth a visit for tea shops and interesting shops. There is stunning countryside all around us here and many good walks from the house. The house has plenty of space and reception rooms making it perfect for larger gatherings. We have parking for 2 cars, and there is a village car park opposite the house on the village green. The local area is stunning and full of historical and beautiful landscape. Guests have access to the whole house. There are 2 flights of stairs. Guests can access the house via the front door, back door or the utility door. An inviting welcome tray and top quality toiletries will be left for guests. I will be available for text/ e mail with guests. Juniper House is set in the stunning area of outstanding natural beauty known as The Cotswolds. Kingham is a picturesque village with a local shop and 2 renowned, award winning pubs. There is a bench-lined village green popular with walkers, families and locals to picnic in the sun or play on the swings. It really is picture perfect. There are numerous walks from the house out into the countryside, perfect for getting to know the area. There is an abundance of cotswold stone villages near here and pretty little market towns waiting to be explored. The famous Daylesford farm shop, hay barn and restaurant is a 25 minute walk from here for a taste of luxury or pampering. One could either stay put in a kingham for a week or explore further afield... both options worth a try! Kingham is well served with a train station with direct links to London Paddington, where there is ample parking. The house has 2 sittings rooms (one large formal sitting room and one cosier snug) and a large play/ movie room. Each of these rooms has comfy sofas. In addition there is a sofa bed room with tv. This can accommodate a further 1-2 guests if required. In addition, many guests have appreciated the well stocked, spacious playroom as a particular bonus and surprise. (Please be aware of small choking hazards.) There is a kitchen diner with sofa. Please note some of the furniture and layout in the play room has been updated slightly since the photos were taken. There are 3 tv's in the house - one in the playroom/ movies room, one in the snug sitting room and one in the sofa bed room downstairs. There is a good sized back garden with seating areas, and a small front garden - again with bench to enjoy the evening sun on The Green. Babysitting service can be arranged.
