Guesthouse in Stockholm archipelago near the city!

Come stay in Stockholm archipelago and still be close to the city. In scenic Mörtnäs is guesthouse with 2 rooms and bathroom, hob, fridge / freezer and micro. 100 meters to the sea and nature reserve with the forest around the corner.A short walk away is Grisslinge beach with a bakery and restaurant. Shopping center in Mölnvik 1.5 km away has everything to offer. A 10-minute walk takes you to the bus to Slussen in just over 20 minutes. Own outdoor grill and possibility for breakfast packages. The accommodation is a guest house on the host family's estate with the host family house about 35 meters from the cottage. The state is like many others in the area; an old summer cottage where former owners built a new house with its guesthouse. The cottage is about 25 sqm. The cottage is primarily intended for two guests but an extra bed can be arranged for more overnight stays. On the plot there are apple trees, pear trees, blackberry bushes, strawberries and many other plants. The area is green and beautiful. In the area there are families with children and the host family has two children. Children are warmly welcomed and the accommodation is perfect for two adults and one child! The host family can arrange a baby cot if needed. One bedroom with double bed, TV, armchair and wardrobe. An extra bed ca be included if required. Baby cot also available if required. A kitchen with fridge / freezer and equipment for making basic food. Water is available in the washbasin in the bathroom, where you can also wash up the dishes. A bathroom with shower cubicle, toilet, sink and a wardrobe. There is a limited supply of water and lasts for 2 showers. For a fee, guests can rent bicycles, if available. In case of late arrival, it is possible to order breakfast packages that the host purchases and which are available in the fridge for the guest to prepare. Breakfast package 1: Coffee / tea, milk, juice, yoghurt, bread and toppings. Breakfast package 2: Coffee / tea, milk, juice, bacon, eggs, bread and toppings. In case we are home, we would love to say hello and help with your needs. If you have children, there are two children in the host family who like to play! The area consists of villa gardens and families with children and not very busy streets. It is about 100 meters down to a sea bay with a pier and another about 1 km to Grisslinge beach. The proximity to both the sea, the forest and central Stockholm is what we love about this place. Mörtnäs as a neighboorhood is increasing and is becoming a very attractive area in Stockholm, where more and more people are looking for accommodation, both permanent and as holiday destinations. Shopping, restaurants and bakery are about 10 minutes walk. Bus stop with buses towards Stockholm city or further into the archipelago is also about 10 minutes walk. The restaurant at Grisslinge is recommended, as is Strömma Krog! Activities for the whole family like Siggesta farm, Säby farm at Ingarö or Grisslinge beach and the beautiful summer island. If you want to get to Vaxholm, the ferry across Rindö is the best route. Several marinas are nearby and the outer archipelago of Sandhamn, Möja or Grinda is waiting to be explored. About 100 meters up the hill there is a beautiful view over the archipelago's waters and islands. Here is also a dance court where there are festivities! The nearest bus stop is on road 222 and is called "Älgstigen". All red buses going west go to Slussen (Stockholm city). From Slussen all buses stop between Nr 433-440 on Älgstigen. Welcome to Mörtnäs! We hope you will enjoy your stay in our little house! We like to mention a few things that might be good to know during your stay. The heat is controlled by radiators in the bedroom and the kitchen. The radiators must not be covered or used as clothes dryer, as this can cause a fire. In the bathroom there is underfloor heating which is controlled by a switch on the wall. During the summer months the heating is switched off by default, but may be switched on by the guest if needed. The toilet makes some noise when it flushes, because a pump connects to the drain in the main house. Nothing but human stool and toilet paper may be flushed down the toilet, otherwise the plumbing system will brake. Hot water in the bathroom sink is obtained by pressing the red button on the tap and turning it left. There is a limited access to hot water (It last for 2 showers). No food residues can be flushed down the toilet or sink. Instead leave food leftovers in the garbage can and rinse the dishes in the plastic tub. Garbage can then be placed in the large green container by bottom of the road. Please use the kitchen fan when you cook your food. The left side of the closet in the bathroom is yours to use during your stay. All doors and windows must be closed when you leave the house. If the hosts are not at home at checkout, the key can be placed in the blue mailbox outside the main house on the road. Empty bottles and cans can be placed in the container standing on the ground to the right of the front door. The nearest bus stop is on the road 222 and named " Älgstigen ". All red buses that go west arrives at Slussen (Stockholm City) . From Slussen you can use all buses between no. 433-440 as they stop at Älgstigen. For more info see (URL HIDDEN) Grocery stores like ICA, Systembolaget and fast food like McDonalds, Max , etc. are available in Mölnviks shopping center , about 1.5 km west from the house. Our own pier is about 100 meters down the road to the left. The main beach, Grisslinge havsbad is about 1 km to the south along the road 222. Here is also a restaurant, a bakery and cafe . Waxholmsbolaget connects to many islands in the archipelago and on Värmdö there are many ports to use to explore the archipelago, such as Lillsved , Stavsnäs , Sollenkroka and Boda. All these ports can be reached by buses going east from Älgstigen
