Living in the Alstertal

This modern and fully equipped two room apartment with a wonderful view of the “Alstertal” offers many opportunities for relaxation, sports and other activities. Through the garden you have direct access to the “Alsterwanderweg”, perfect to go for a run, hiking or walking. In 10 minutes one can walk to the largest shopping center in Northern Germany, the AEZ and the rapid transit train station Poppenbüttel, from which one can reach directly the city centre. Also, the airport is not far away. The modern 63qm ground floor apartment was built from the lower part of a maisonette. It consists of a large living room with a built-in kitchen, a bedroom, a bathroom and a corridor, through which all these rooms are accessible. Through the large window front in the livingroom, through with the terrace is accessible, one gets a beautiful view of the park around the “Alsterwanderweg”. The living room has a dining table, a couch with possible sleeping function, a TV and a desk. The desk by the window and Wi-Fi provide a nice and quiet place to work. The built-in kitchen in the living room is very modern, fully equipped and invites to cook. The large terrace in front of the park offers several seats. Due to the idyllic view and the close proximity to nature one may even get the impression of not being in Hamburg at all. The bedroom has a wardrobe, a sideboard and a double bed. Also, from the bedroom you have access to the terrace and once again the large window offers a view of nature and the possibility to wake up in the morning to the rising sun. The bathroom consists of shower, toilet, sink and an extra make-up mirror. In all rooms there is floor heating and the new building is well insulated, so even in winter this apartment offers a cozy stay. Through the windows facing the garden one notices neither any road noise nor the nearby Hamburg airport. Guests rent and have access to the full home as described. The check-in and check-out will be arranged personally, or a self check-in will be arranged. We are happy to meet new people and help to get to know Hamburg and the surroundings. For further questions we are always available. The apartment is located in the green district Hamburg-Poppenbüttel. Within walking distance of the “Alsterwanderweg” there are the North Germany's largest shopping center, the “Alstertal Einkaufszentrum (AEZ)” and its surrounding infrastructure, a small castle Burg Henneberg and several restaurants. Nearby there are numerous other restaurants, golf courses and boat rentals. From Poppenbüttel, it is very easy to get to Hamburg city center by the S-Bahn (a rapid transit train), e.g. directly to the main station or the Jungfernstieg (about a 30-minutes ride). The S-Bahn station Poppenbüttel is a 10-minute walk from the house. Frequently several bus lines stop right outside the house. The airport can be reached in about 10 minutes by taxi. Two bicycles are available to guests on the terrace and can be used for bicycle tours. E.g., a bike ride along the “Alsterwanderwegs” is recommended. One reaches directly the “Aussenalster” and further on the city center.
