As you drive down the long driveway, you are immersed in the peaceful surroundings of our beautiful location. Park outside your own front door and feel yourself relax as you enter Barn Cottage. Beautifully decorated, with luxury furnishings and many special touches to turn your stay into a special memory. Unwind in a bath below starlights, curl up to watch the 55" TV, walk in our woodland with play area or watch the horses graze. Easy walk to village pub & tea rooms. Paultons Park 10 mins away. Ideal for professional individuals, couples and parents with two young children sharing the double sofa bed, plus there’s space for your travel cot. Social distancing is easy here. We have decided to make 3 nights our minimum stay, because everyone who visits wishes they were staying longer. If you only have two nights, we have a shepherd hut on-site with a 2 night min. If you are visiting for Paultons park, why not take an extra day to relax and enjoy one of the many other activities nearby. Due to extra measures for Covid-19 we now ask all guests to follow the self check-in process, details will be provided once your booking is confirmed. The cottage is all on one level, with no steps/ stairs and is laid out as an open plan living area without a separate bedroom. Fully fitted kitchen with double oven, dishwasher and everything you'll need. A fenced, outside garden with tables and chairs to relax in. Secure electric gate entry system - key fob provided. Sorry, but no pets. Smoking allowed on the patio garden area. A BBQ and Fire pit are available to rent for a small fee. The main thing the farm can offer is a feeling of relaxation and rejuvenation. With so much to do within an hours drive, you can see and do as much or as little as you wish. Our village, Sherfield English has a great pub, shop, post office, tea rooms and a superb nursery. Local town of Romsey has an array of pubs and restaurants with takeaway options (collection only). Waitrose and Aldi for groceries. Only a 5min drive. Paultons Park and the New Forest are only minutes away. Once you arrive, you'll find it hard to tear yourself away. Guests can access the woodland with some childrens play items anytime. With social distancing being so important you can relax that you are our only guests on site. We can introduce you to some of the horses, but only when someone from the farm is present. A cosy fire pit area is also available. I can be on hand as much or as little as you need as we live on the farm. Advice, directions, assistance are all available. Sherfield English is a small village which has an excellent pub, village shop and post office, church and recreation ground. We even have a family owned petrol station, where they fill your car for you. Only 4 miles from the town of Romsey where you can stock up in Aldi or Waitrose. We are 9 miles from Salisbury, 4 miles to the magical New Forest and Paultons Park is only a 10 minute drive. Southampton and Winchester are within a 30 minute drive. Beautiful beaches are 40 minutes away. You'll never be short of something to do. There are many lovely walks close by. There is a bus stop at the end of the road and train stations are a short drive. Romsey market town is a mere 4 miles drive with lovely boutiques and cafes, as well as a farmers market on the first Sunday of each month, plus all the usual favourites. Birchwood Farm was built in 1750 as a Royal Mail coaching Inn. It then became a dairy farm and today is an equestrian yard, with 7 resident horses. Friendly dogs also visit the farm daily with the liveries who keep their horses here. We are happy to introduce you to the horses but you must be with someone from the farm, for safety reasons. The tiny Chihauhau's are everyones favourite and LOVE having cuddles!
