It’s quite spacious but at the same time very quiet and private. I’ve had people tell me it's like staying in a hotel. The only time you will see myself or my mom down there is to either use the laundry room or for a short elliptical workout. The kitchen is of course accessible as well if for water and coffee in t he mornings. And particularly for long term guests who need to cook and use our kitchen supplies. I make breakfast smoothies occasionally in the summer. If you're interested in one, please let me know ahead of time and I'm happy to make you one. It is a pretty, safe and relatively quiet suburb. Obviously as far as activities go, the city of Chicago is about a 45 min drive and 35 min train ride away. There are some fun things to do locally, and a handful of good restaurants I can recommend. If you're here for vacation and tourist attractions however, I'd recommend you go into the city. The train station is 2 miles away and a 3-5 min uber ride away. NO DOGS OR CATS ALLOWED! I have a cat and, and the presence of another cat or dog is very stressful. This is NOT the place for a romantic getaway with your significant other (we can hear you and it’s really really not ok) so please don’t. It’s also NOT the place for partying with your bro’s.
