Centered on almost nine rural acres of Orcas Island natural beauty, sit two new architecturally designed cottages just waiting to take you back to a simpler and quieter time. These two adorable cottages provide luxurious accommodations, soaring ceilings, great lighting and wood burning fireplaces in each cottage for cozy nights (wood supplied). The larger (main) cottage provides a full kitchen and beautiful tiled bathroom with walk-in shower. For sleeping accommodations, it has a queen size sleeper sofa downstairs and provides a bunk bed arrangement (two single beds) in its upstairs loft area. There is also a trundle bed single upstairs that can be pulled out for an additional bed. The adjacent smaller cottage provides a downstairs queen luxury bed in the living room area. It also has an efficiency kitchen and tiled bathroom with walk in shower. Both cottages benefit from wall-mount HD smart televisions for streaming Amazon and Netflix. Hi speed Internet provides convenient Wifi for any online services you might need to access while in residence. Each cottage includes a work desk, but working isn’t what we recommend when visiting the most beautiful of the San Juan Islands. Orcas is called the Emerald Island for good reason. While on the island visit Moran State Park, Cascade Lake, Mount Constitution and the most beautiful bays in the Islands. Whale watching, fishing, swimming, it’s all here. You’ll become enraptured with the sounds of the ocean in the distance and a glorious chorus of birds sing nature’s melody. Unique birds caress the trees and two bald eagles (affectionately known as Fred and Ethel) visit the pond frequently. Deer are present and enjoy the pond and meadow too. At sunset, the sky is illuminated with amazing colors that peek through the trees. Enjoy the sunset on the patios as you sip a glass of wine on beautifully crafted furniture. As described, the real fun is outdoors onsite where you will find an outdoor fire pit (wood provided) and comfortable seating for lounging on two outdoor stone patios overlooking your domain. There is a distant view of water seen through the trees enclosing this wonderful property. Due to steep terrain and a fairly deep pond, only children 10 and older can be accommodated on this property. Maximum occupancy is 5 guests sharing both cottages and no children under of the age of 10 are allowed.
