Close to Clumber park & Sherwood Forest. The annexe is attached to the back of our detached house and is very private. It looks out onto our garden, which you have the use of. The garden is secure so ideal for children. The bedroom area is separated from the lounge via double doors, ideal for younger children. There is a small utility area that separates the kitchen from the bathroom in which there is a washing machine. From the lounge, there are french doors leading onto a decked seating area and grassed area. Why not put the kids to bed and enjoy a glass of wine whilst you unwind in the spa bath, or out on the deck. The bath is a double-ended large bath so two can share. So you can indulge in a bit of romance. Or just chill after a hard day's work. The kitchen has a full 4 ring electric cooker, an under the counter fridge and a microwave. Please note there is no freezer. A hot tub is available at a cost of £75 per week. (Can only be booked for a week). You have the Annexe to yourself. You also have the deck and garden to yourself; except when there may be the odd occasions when we require access across the garden to our outbuilding (or as David likes to call it his den) or for routine maintenance e.g. grass cutting etc. Although we live in the house you will see little of us unless you require some help, in which case we will be there for you. In order to make the Annex as Covid safe as possible, we have installed a self check-in system. You can arrive anytime after 2 pm and collect the key from the key safe outside the annexe door. Once inside you will find a booklet with lots of information about how everything works, places to visit, where to find things etc. There is an adjoining door from your lounge to our dining room. However, this is locked at all times to ensure privacy. The neighbourhood is a typical inner town with lots of terrace housing etc. We are one of only a few detached houses on this part of the road and stand-alone and back from the road. We are in fact well hidden from the road providing peace and quiet rarely found in the centre of a busy town. There is a small corner shop where you can buy all the essentials a 2-minute walk away. There is a park 3-minute walk away with kids play area and a skateboard section. Great for feeding the ducks. The chesterfield canal is about 5 minutes walk away which you can walk along. The usual supermarkets and shops are a short walk or drive away. 8-minute drive and you arrive at Clumber Park and another 5 further on is Sherwood forest. We are only 10 minute walk from the bus station and 20 minute walk from the railway station. However if you want to get out and about it is best to have a car, as the buses and trains tend to run directly to other towns and cities. There is a direct train to sheffield and Nottingham. Please also note the access road is an unadopted road and therefore is rough but it is only 10 metres. The driveway was due for replacement however due to Covis this has been delayed, therefore, it is still rough but is still a private parking area. Please note access to the french doors is not possible when the trundle bed is pulled out, however, this can be rolled away fully made up in the day. Please note when the cot is placed in the bedroom the desk will be removed to give plenty of space for you and the baby. Occasionally we may have our Daughters dogs. However, they never have access to the Annexe or Garden even when we do not have guests staying. They remain in the main house at all times; so you are very unlikely to see them.
