Chèvrefeuille with heated pool, 10 mins to beach!

Converted from 3 former pigsties, Chevrefeuille is a 3 bedroom house with 2 shower rooms. Downstairs is a kitchen and an open-plan living/dining area with English/French TV and a fireplace. Full central heating by our eco-friendly wood-pellet boiler. Our farm is in a quiet spot in the middle of a small village next to the church. There are lots of lovely walks nearby and we are in the designated nature reserve of 'Le Parc de Marais' We have 3 acres on our farm including flower and vegetable gardens, pastures with ponies, sheep and goats and chickens. We live on sight and can help you with sightseeing and restaurant recommendations, you can help feed and groom the animals if you like! We are situated in the heart of beautiful, peaceful countryside, about 45 mins from Cherbourg on the west coast of the Cotentin peninsula opposite Jersey. We have three self-catering holiday cottages (or in Normandy, Gites) – The Stables, Chèvrefeuille and Jasmin. Our farm is in a charming and secluded spot within a typical Norman village. The grounds (3 acres) are enclosed so children can play in safety, and we encourage them to help out with our animals. The gites in manche are close to uncrowded sandy beaches only 6km from our farm, and ideally placed for visiting Mont St Michel, Bayeux, and the Landing Beaches, or maybe house hunting in the Cotentin area. The attractive market towns of La Haye du Puits and Portbail, 6km and 8km away, have a good selection of local shops and restaurants as well as supermarkets. If you are a fan of French street markets there is one available every day within easy driving distance. There are many fetes, fairs and festivals during the year (see our events page), or you might just want to enjoy the tranquillity & beauty of the surrounding countryside. All parking is free in the local towns and at the beach, big change from England! We have a selection of bikes you can use to get around, we are next to the cycle paths. Don't forget shops close 12-2pm in rural France during the week, banks are closed on Mondays and out of season supermarkets are closed on Sundays.
