Appletree Cottage is located in an idyllic village in the Cotswolds, it is perfectly situated for visiting Oxford City, Blenheim Palace and the Cotswolds. The self-contained annex is brand new, modern & bright, surrounded by a beautiful garden. It offers a spacious open plan living, dining and kitchen area with a sofa, a 55" TV and under floor heating. The bedroom is located on the first floor and has amazing views of the Oxfordshire countryside. It has sloped ceilings and it features a king size bed, side cabinets, chest of drawers and a generous open wardrobe. The shower room is located just off of the landing next to the bedroom and offers a shower, sink and a cabinet. ***Please note that access to the upper floor is via an external staircase.*** - We offer our guests complementary Wi-Fi. - You will have sole use of the annexe. - We endeavour to be around to greet our guests - whenever that is not possible a lockbox key code will be provide it to self check-in. - There is space to park 1 guest car (arrangements can be made for more cars but please let us know in advance) - You are welcome to use our garden but please note on some occasions we might be using it too! Long Hanborough is a large village that spreads out along the main road as an attractive mixture of thatched, stone, slate and tile roofed cottages. The village is perfectly situated for visiting Oxford and the surrounding Cotswolds villages. The train station is less than a 10 minute walk, with journeys into Oxford taking less than 15 minutes as well journeys into Central London being just over an hour. The George and Dragon pub is located across the road where lunch and evening meals are served, the Sunday roast is highly recommended. There is also a very good takeaway fish and chips nearby, a supermarket and a post office. Oxford City: Car - 15/20 minutes journey time. Buses every 15 minutes at peak times - 30 minutes journey time. Trains - 10 minutes journey time. Woodstock (Blenheim Palace): Car - 5 minutes journey time. Buses - 9 minutes journey time (stops in front of Blenheim Palace Gates). Witney: Car - 7 minutes journey time. Buses - 20 minutes journey time. London Paddington: Stops: Oxford - Reading - (Slough some trains) - London Paddington. Journey time to London Paddington is 1hr 7 minutes Please be aware that our gardener or window cleaner might be around during your stay.
