This includes sheets, blankets, throw blankets, pillow sheets (pillows still provided), bathroom towels, and kitchen towels. You will need to pack your own linens. This gorgeously renovated home is perfect for a family retreat or a friend's getaway on the North Shore. In both the main and lower level living rooms you can enjoy curling up in front of the wood-burning, stone-surround fireplace on a cold winter's night. Yes, there are two in this home! Not to mention a cozy reading nook off of the kitchen. This home truly has so much to offer inside, but just as much outside! Take a stroll on your private lakeside boardwalk! The outdoor area really makes the house shine! The home sits on over 200 feet of shoreline, with over 100 feet being easily accessible through a series of steps and boardwalks right down to the ledge rock. Light a fire in the shoreside fire pit and just enjoy a relaxing getaway in this beautiful and private setting. The home also features two lake-facing decks and a private balcony off of the master bedroom. Enjoy a summertime BBQ on the deck with the gas grill. Or just sit back in a chair with your morning coffee and enjoy the sunrise over Lake Superior. Stone's Throw Retreat is a beautiful year-round rental. Perfect for summertime getaways, fall leaf change visits, or wintertime ski trips. Allergy Warning: Guests with pet allergies should be aware that while this home is NOT a pet-friendly rental the owner has a pet and there may be some hair/dander present. Area Information Stone's Throw Retreat is located in Tofte, Minnesota, close to many of the North Shore's most popular attractions. The beautiful Oberg Mountain Scenic Overlook and Hiking Trail, a must-see during leaf change season, is just a short drive away. Head down the shore just a couple of miles and check out Temperance River State Park. Or, head up the shore and you will find Cascade River State Park. Both State Parks are great for hiking and enjoying some beautiful waterfalls. The Gitchi Gami Bike Trail runs along Highway 61- you can hop on it right from Stone's Throw Retreat! The trail is enjoyed by bikers and walkers alike, taking a scenic ride or stroll along Lake Superior's shoreline. The Lutsen Mountains recreation area is just 10-miles away and offers both winter and summer activities, including downhill skiing, the alpine slide, and a scenic gondola up to the Moose Mountain Summit. Enjoy the many restaurants and live music offered year-round on the mountain, as well. There is much to do just a 30-minute drive away in Grand Marais, as well. Enjoy lots of Ma and Pa stores and restaurants you won't find elsewhere. More unique stores and restaurants can be found in Lutsen and Tofte, as well.
