19th century Dalarna farmstead in Tällberg/Laknäs

Iconic 19th century Dalarna farmstead, quietly situated near Lake Siljan. Two separate houses with plenty of room for nine guests. DEPARTURE CLEANING, SHEETS AND TOWELS INCLUDED IN PRICE. A frequent comment from our guests is that their visit was too short. We recommend minimum three nights - there is much to see and experience, for all ages, in the area. Enjoy quiet living in this classical recreation area. Watch the sunset from the garden or from one of the many nearby jetties. The accommodation offers a comfortable combination of modern life necessities (washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, shower rooms and more) with elderly charm (tiled stoves, porch and more). In the main building the bedrooms are located on the upper level with one toilet/bathroom on the upper level and one toilet/shower room on the lower level. In the second building the bedrooms are located on the upper level with toilet/shower on the lower level. We offer a number of bikes for our guest to borrow to get around in this beautiful rural area. In winter there is a limited number of skies and sledges to borrow for those who want. If you need our help - we live just around the corner. During the summer season we occasionally have to mowe the lawn and we will also have to turn up to water the plants of the garden. We always respect the needs of our gusts when doing this. Numerous excursions in the vicinity, from Leksand (12km) in the south to Mora (40km) in the north. The view of Lake Siljan is stunning, any time of the year. In summer the lake offers wonderful cooling baths and boating excursions, in Winter the snowcovered lake is perfect for skiing. "To visit Sweden and Dalarna without having seen Tällberg is like attending a wedding without having seen the bride". Walking distance to Lake Siljan (200 meters) Walking distance to a number of restaurants and hotels in Tällberg (10 minutes). The area is easy to reach by train or bus, but we recommend traveling by car for those who want to reach the many worthwhile sights around Lake Siljan. Dalhalla arena is located 30 minutes drive from the house. You can also catch the arena bus (10 minutes walk from the house) - this has to be pre booked on the Dalhalla home page The two houses are also available to rent separately - see separate objects on Airbnb. Please note that the bedrooms are located on the upper level and the stairs have no gate. We are environmentally conscious and as all our guests to recycle al garbage – separate bins for this purpose are located on the farmstead. We also want to let you know that the local tap water is fine for drinking, there is no need to buy bottled water if you don’t want to. Of respect for our guests who suffer from allergies we have deceided to keep our houses free from pets.
