With a tree-house feel, enjoy extraordinary views of lake from home built in 2001. Just steps from welcoming tiki hut, dip toes into clear spring fed lake with sandy bottom. 1 hr from Mpls, and 5 to 10 mins from large Sat/Sun flea market and many antique shops. House has deck and screened in porch with comfy outdoor furniture. Open floor plan allows you to be with family/friends and see the lake from the kitchen. Upstairs has 2 bedrooms, one with California King and non-attached bath. Other room has attached bath and 1 queen. Downstairs basement is unfinished walk-out with windows. Basement has sleeping for 6 (1 bedroom has 2 twins and 1 bedroom has a bunk, with twin on top, full on bottom and a twin trundle bed). Plus, 1 finished bathroom downstairs. Laundry room and ping pong table also provided. Very large dining table that fits 10 people for sit down meals. Slowly but surely we are transforming the furniture into mid-century modern style. We think you will enjoy this relaxed and quiet setting. You will have access to 95% of 2600 square ft house (1/2 finished, 1/2 unfinished, but usable). There is a slight chance that we, the hosts, will stay a night or 2 in our trailer, which is up a hill and 250 feet away from the house. If we stay in the trailer, we may end up using our boat on the 2nd dock, far from the first dock and far from the house. Basically, you won't even see us! My husband and I would like to meet you upon arrival, to give you the low-down on house and outdoor space. However, we do not plan to stay there, yet on a rare occasion, we will stay in our trailer on our acreage. We hope you enjoy this level of privacy. Yet, we are available for questions and can let you know about eating establishments, where to shop for food, etc The home is part of a private, upscale and quiet neighborhood. Since it in not a thoroughfare, it is perfect for relaxing walks. If you are respectful of neighbors, we will be able to continue to provide this welcoming home to AirBnB-ers. :-) You will definitely need a car to get here. We are an hour from downtown Minneapolis and about 90 minutes from MSP airport. This is a quick trip West of the cities, to find yourself in paradise! You are 5 to 10 minutes from Annandale, where you will find necessary amenities like grocery, liquor, pizza-to-go, etc! Powder Ridge ski area is 10 mins away. Wright County Swappers Meet is 5 minutes away, open Sat and Sunday (and Fridays on a 3 day weekend) Our house sits on almost 2 acres, among trees and right on Lake Sylvia. There is only 1 neighbor's home visible to you. You will have your own point to explore and can swim in super clean water on sandy bottom. Sometimes locals stop and swim on our point. This can be good or bad, depending upon your perspective. Either way, it tells you that our swim spot is desirable and only steps from our fun, bug-free tiki hut (shed transformed).
