The Cottage Park View - between York & Harrogate

The Cottage has been lovingly refurbished. Located in the picturesque village of Whixley. Excellent transport links by train, (Cattal train station just over a mile away) road or bus to nearby York, Knaresborough and Harrogate. 2 miles from the A1 to allow you to explore the beautiful countryside of North Yorkshire and beyond. The village has a friendly local pub called The Anchor and village shop. The 3 storey cottage comprises of dining room, kitchen breakfast room and lounge with a log burner on the ground floor. . The first floor has a single bedroom and a twinroom ( which can be a super king bed as they are zip and link beds ). The bathroom has a roll top bath and a walk in shower. On the top floor there is a beautiful master bedroom with fantastic views over Whixley Park. This bed can also be a twin room as it is a zip and link bed. There is a utility room with a washing machine. On request guests can have access to a travel cot and highchair. The kitchen contains fridge, cooker, dishwasher and washing machine. As well as microwave, toaster and kettle. The accomodation comes with all linen and towels for the number of guests booked as well drinks such as tea, coffee and sugar. A continental breakfast will be provided complimentary for the first morning. This includes pastries, jam, cereals and milk. The outdoor space consists of 2 off street parking spaces and a self contained rear garden. The front garden has the fabulous views over Whixley Park. The property is self contained and all areas are available to guests. The access to the driveway for 2 cars is round the back of Park View located just off Clock Hill Field Lane. There is also a key safe so you can let yourself in anytime you arrive. I am based a few doors away from the Cottage so if you need anything I will be happy to help. There as leaflets in the barn with information on local walks and places to visit as well as local taxi firms and pub/restaurants. Whixley is situated in the beautiful countryside of North Yorkshire. It is a quiet and conveniently located village. Situated mid way between York and Harrogate there is also easy access to Boroughbridge, Karesborough and Ripon. We have an abundance of historic houses in the area. Nearby we have Allerton Castle, Newby Hall & Gardens, Ripley Castle, Harewood House as well as Castle Howard and many more. The Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors National Park are all accessible day trips. The coast at Scarborough, Bridlington and Whitby are also accessible day trips. There is a handy petrol station/coop just about 4 miles along the A59 towards York which is open late. There is also a Thai/Chinese restaurant and takeaway next to it called Sweet Basil as well as a farm shop. The larger supermarket Morrisons is located in Boroughbridge.
