Beautiful oak barns set in traditional english countryside. Placed with own access within 15 acres of private woodland and grazing land, away from the main road for peace and tranquility. Guests are able to have privacy for relaxation and enjoy views of horses grazing and the comings and goings of the British wildlife. Just 4 minute drive to the market town of Bishops Waltham or you can join and follow the infamous Pilgrims Trail and walk there in just 30 minutes. Stunning new build accommodation set away from the road with private access. Three cabins built with privacy in mind whilst still making the most of the beautiful views and countryside Durley has to offer. Large apex windows create a warm, light and airy space to relax in with an open plan living area with dining. With beautifully thought out living space, kitchen and double bedroom with wet room ensuite - you'll find everything you need for your stay. Finished to a high spec our barns have been built to provide home comforts whilst limiting our impact on the surrounding countryside and natural wildlife. Driving down the private road and walking across to your cabin to mark the start of your stay will feel like a complete step away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. There is ample parking for cars, horse boxes and motorhomes if required.(240v and water available). Our traditional oak cabins are set away the old farm house across woodland and fields. They are in their on private setting and guests are free to come and go at their pleasure with own access, drive and gateway from the main road. Spoilt for choice, Durley is the perfect base for many day trips, visits and explorations. There are two wonderful English pubs in the village of Durley itself,( The Robin Hood and the Farmers Home) both with a wonderful reputation for great food. The market town of Bishops Waltham is only a 4 minute drive away, or you can follow footpaths that join with the infamous Pilgrims Trail and get there by foot in just 30 minutes. There you will find local shops, pubs, restaurants and lovely cafes/coffee shops - the perfect spot for brunch! Bishops Waltham Palace ruins are a sight not to miss, steeped in history and a must for places to visit if venturing to Bishops Waltham. Nettlebed Farm Holiday Lets are also only a short drive away (4 miles) from Marwel Zoo, for a fabulous day out, here you can also join numerous gorgeous walking routes. Alternatively we are also only a short way from 2 different beautiful vine yards, the Ageas Bowl cricket ground (8 minutes, drop off and pick up can be arranged with host), the historical City of Winchester (10 miles), Southampton, the hamble river and Portsmouth. Durley is also home to Quob Farm Equestrian Centre which is just a short 10 minutes walk away, or 2 minute drive from the barns. We can also cater for you to bring your own horses with grazing paddocks available. ( This will have to be arranged with the host separately as needs are individual). Whether you are here to enjoy a rural break, for work or visit the nearby towns of Winchester, Southampton and Portsmouth, you will be spoilt for choice as the list of interesting things to see and do in the area is endless: Winchester (Cathedral, Castle & Great Hall, Hospital of St.Cross, Winchester College), Jane Austen’s House, Charles Dickens’ Birthplace Museum, Gilbert White’s House & Gardens, Highclere Castle & Gardens, Beaulieu Motor Museum, Goodwood Festival of Speed, Goodwood Revival, Goodwood Racing, Grange Festival Opera in Alresford, Uppark House & Gardens, National Trust Properties (Hinton Ampner, The Vyne, Winchester City Mill, Mottisfont Abbey), Mayflower Theatre Southampton/Royal Theatre Winchester, Portsmouth Historic Dockyard (HMS Victory, HMS Warrior, Mary Rose Museum), Marwell Wildlife Park, Watercress Line (heritage railway), Fort Nelson Royal Armouries, (English Heritage Properties ( Stonehenge, Wolvesey Castle) and many more days out on offer. Within short distances there are beautiful walking routes, including the Pilgrims Trail which could take you to Winchester one way or across to the South Downs National Park the other and would be more than happy to help you navigate the start of your routes from here. We are only 2.5 miles from Hedge End Train Station and only 17 minutes from Southampton Airport. We welcome dogs but please keep them off the furniture and bringing your 4 legged friends bed would be a good idea to help them settle. Also we have stables and horses on the farm . If the horses are out side the stables please pass trough this area slowly you may need to open and close the gate.
