Overlooking rolling hills that can be enjoyed from the revolving summer house and decking. This cottage offers spacious rooms, two king size beds, separate dining, fully equipped kitchen, curved smart tv, and of course a cosy log burner. Excellent base for exploring Northumberland’s treasures. Ethel's cottage is a quaint, spacious and charismatic cottage in the heart of northumberland. It has a homely with the cosy interior and the stunning garden views. Free Parking at the front ( Street Parking) also private rear drive. (Only for cars no vans or larger vehicles) Peak Times - 7 nights, Changeover day Saturday. Off Peak times - 3/4 night stays. Can be flexible don't hesitate to get in touch. We are situated 5 miles from Alnwick, where you will find local amenities, there's lots to see including the famous castle and gardens. The beach at Alnmouth is only 8 miles away which also has an easy access to the mainline if you fancy a trip to Edinburgh. You have a wide range of coffee shops just a short car journey away, also award winning golf courses. Close proximity to A1. The Cheviots and Thrunton wood have excellent walks which are only a short car journey away. We are also near to the northumberland coastal cycle routes. There is a main bathroom on the ground floor which includes, Toilet, sink, freestanding bath and separate shower. One bedroom has an ensuite, which has a walk in shower, toilet and sink. We will supply a basket of logs to get you started. We would kindly ask that the property would be left to the same standard as found upon arrival as i take great pride in preparing the cottage for your stay. Dogs are welcome, i do ask that they stay downstairs. I also stress that dogs should not be left unattended in the property or in the garden. Please note the village is also a residential area, we do ask guests are respectful for other neighbours and their pets. Please bring a blanket if you want to snuggle your dogs on the settee. This cottage is a no smoking area.
