Please note the style of property has some low door frames (particularly to the kitchen). Whilst tall people are most welcome- this might not be the best place for you. Please park to the front of the property. There is usually plentiful parking. The attractive rural village of Alton lies on the western fringes of the Peak District in lovely moorland countryside, between the market towns of Leek and Ashbourne. As the cottage is in the centre of Alton there are shops, several pubs and restaurants just a stone’s throw away. And of course for those seeking the thrill of the rides and roller coaster, the cottage is just 1.2 miles from the popular Alton Towers Theme Park. The surrounding countryside is excellent for walking and cycling with miles of woodland trails and moorland hikes to enjoy. Dimmingsdale, and the limestone Churnet-Valley are on the doorstep and The Manifold Trail is close by. Furthermore the lovely market towns of Ashbourne and Uttoxeter are within easy reach. Note that whilst it is a full size bath - the shower height is lower than normal. The quirky stairs can not have a stair gate fitted and so is not suitable for young children.
