"Benno the car" was originally an old shooting gallery, which we converted with great passion and attention to detail into a holiday home on wheels. You can now spend the night in the middle of nature and still feel at home. On about 16 square meters you have everything you need: Benno has a well-equipped kitchen, a comfortable bed, a comfortable armchair, a bathroom with a hip bath and compost toilet and above all a lot of charm ... Come in and feel good! In front of the car there is a spacious terrace where you can let the morning sun shine in your face or count the stars at night. The car is basically designed for 2 people - but there is enough space under the bed so that we can set up a "sleeping cave" for smaller children if necessary. There will be another 10 euros fee per child. Even in the cold season you can spend the night in the car: there is a wood stove (wood is provided) that provides cozy warmth. So it gets really cozy! "In Bavaria at the top" - there is the Franconian Forest and also "Benno the wagon". It stands there on the edge of the forest near the "Finkenburg", a single slate house just outside the glassmaking town of Kleintettau. It is a stone's throw from the Thuringian border and Germany's most famous hiking trail, the Rennsteig and the "Green Belt". Kerstin Rentsch is located in the Finkenburg, the gourmet ambassador offers her homemade products in her small farm shop: jams, vinegar, cooked cheese, ketchup, curd cheese, mustard, etc. You can also book them for cooking classes or pleasure hikes. She will be happy to put together an individual breakfast with her products for overnight guests on request. In Kleintettau itself there is the tropical house, which is heated with waste heat from the Heinz Glas company, and the European glass flacon museum with a glass café. The Wildbergcafé in Tettau is open every Sunday - a place with a really special atmosphere. Who is "Benno the Wagon" for? - for hikers, cyclists and mountain bikers - for people who have always wanted to try life in a "tiny house", - for connoisseurs (on request there is an individual breakfast from the gourmet ambassador Kerstin Rentsch - with her own and regional products) - for nature lovers who are looking for peace and relaxation away from mass tourism
