Holidayhome 'Lingewal' is a charming 4 pers. holiday home, situated on the picturesque old Zuidwal, the most beautiful street of Leerdam. Directly on the old city wall, along the Lingehaven and around the corner various restaurants, museums, shops. The house is located exactly opposite the Glasblazerij van Leerdam, is a perfect base for all kinds of cultural trips and is close to the beautiful nature of the Betuwe. 'Lingewal' offers privacy, a rustic city atmosphere and is comfortably furnished. Classification of house 'Lingewal': Hall with left the bathroom with sink, toilet and (rain) shower. There are clean towels with washcloths available. Also present: mirror with light above it, clothes hooks, hair dryer, toilet paper for the first days. On the right, the hall gives access to bedroom 1. (More about this below.) Straight ahead is the cozy living space. There is a fully equipped kitchen with fridge (with little freezer), oven, gas cooker, hand dishwashing rack, coffee maker, kettle, cafetiere, cookware, cutlery, blender, casseroles, bowls, coffee/tea/sugar bags, some pots of herbs, etc. There is a package of clean kitchen towels / dishcloths and there are cleaning products. The living room has a smart TV, an oval dining table with chairs, a nice lounge sofa, armchairs, a cupboard with audio set with CDs, and some games and books. There is a documentation folder with entertainment tips in the region and an overview of the best shops and restaurants within walking distance of the cottage. Bedroom 1 on the ground floor has two (low) single beds next to each other. The beds are made clean on arrival. In a corner of the room is a washing machine and drying rack with pegs and detergent. There is also a cozy workplace with table and chair. Behind the door are clothes hooks with clothes hangers. Bedroom 2 is a spacious light loft bedroom and is accessible FROM bedroom 1 through a door with a staircase to the top. Bedroom 2 has two (high) single beds next to each other that have already been made up with bedside tables with a table lamp. Further present: a spacious open wardrobe with 6 clothes hangers, two rattan chairs and a table. The bedroom has enough space for placing a self-brought campbed for babies. It is absolutely NOT allowed to use the accommocation facilities by persons who are not formally guests. Up to 4 people can stay overnight. A baby (0-2 years) extra is allowed after reporting. We carefully check these standards for your safety and insurance. ** Important: In connection with Covid-19 I expect all my guests to respect and follow the rules and measures of the national government of the Netherlands that apply at that time. In practice it is difficult to keep 1.5 m. distance within the house. Directly on the old city wall, along the Lingehaven and around the corner are various restaurants, supermarkets, museums and shops. The house is located exactly opposite the Glassfactory of Leerdam, and is a perfect base for all kinds of cultural excursions, close to the beautiful nature of the Betuwe. 'Lingewal' offers privacy, a rustic city atmosphere and is comfortably furnished. Lingewal is an independent holiday home with its own entrance. There is a wifi connection available throughout the property. Log-in details can be found in the brown folder with the house rules in the living room. If you book longer than 4 nights, there is also a vacuum cleaner in the bedroom 1 wardrobe. There is a folder available with oure house rules, our request is to read these a.s.a.p. after arrival. You will also find a folder with entertainment tips and a guestbook. If you write something in the guestbook, I really appreciate it! Personally I welcome you to hand over the keys, for questions I am available whenever possible, I live and work around the corner. If the weather is nice, enjoy coffee or tea on the bench in front of the house. Holiday house 'Lingewal' is located on the south, you can enjoy the first rays of sunshine here early in the spring. In summer it is fun with the hikers and cyclists who visit the Glassfactory shed on the other side. There are regular boats in the harbor. In the autumn you are wonderfully sheltered under the vines (and can you sweeten the grapes;). In the winter the Zuidwal has its own charm. The beautiful lanterns along the Lingehaven give a nostalgic atmosphere. Holiday home 'Lingewal' in Leerdam is a nice place to enjoy all benefits of the city center (around the corner a bakery and supermarket, restaurants, cafes, shops and various art and glass galleries), but at the same time you can enjoy nature and experience peace nearby. From Lingewal it is lovely to walk to for example Heukelum, Asperen, Acquoy, Gellicum, Rhenoy, Kedichem or Schoonrewoerd. There are beautiful cycling and walking routes in the nearby Betuwe and Rivierenland. Do you want to go to a bigger city? Gorinchem, Utrecht and Den Bosch are a short car journey distance or can be reached by public transport. Within an hour you are by car in the city of Amsterdam. The Southwall (Zuidwal) of Leerdam is a short 10 minute walk from the railway station in Leerdam. Next to the Southwall there is a parking place for cars, but here you can only park paid and for a short while. If you book a stay, you will receive information where you can park your car for free (at about 5 minutes walking distance). The front door has a step and it's a steep spiral staircase to one of the bedrooms, so the house is not accessible for wheelchairs and less suitable for people with walking difficulties. It is possible for two people to stay on the ground floor, because the bathroom and a one bedroom are downstairs. Children are very welcome, but the house is not specifically child-friendly. There are some toys available. Receiving guests? Of course that is allowed, but in principle the house is equipped for max. 4 people. The holiday home is situated in a rustic street so it is expected that guests take this into account and give no reason to (noise) inconvenience. More than 4 adults can not stay overnight in the houses. A child up to 2 years old can join for free, for this you have to bring your own bed. Smoking is not permitted in the holiday home and no pets are allowed.
