Mine Hill Romantic Getaway West Room

This property has two bedrooms on the 2nd floor which can be booked separately or together. The West Room is a sunny yellow, and also has two windows and a good view of the forest. The bathroom is en-suite. Guests may use the salt-water lap pool in the summer months and enjoy the garden. A light breakfast is offered. Note: There is no elevator. There is parking available on the driveway. Each bedroom has their own private bathroom. My home is located near Mine Hill Preserve , great for hiking, the Shepaug River is four minutes away is great for kayaking and there are lots of biking trails. There are many trees surrounding the house, with all kinds of birds, a concert every morning. The flowers roses , daisy, zinnias etc. in the garden attract humming birds and butterfly's. You might see some deer grazing in the meadow from your window.----You are seven miles from New Milford, a movie house, and restaurants . Washington CT. is eight miles away. I built my home fifteen years ago, solar, geothermal, bamboo flooring, it is so comfortable and special. You will enjoy your restful stay here. The house is located within walking distance of the following attractions: Roxbury's Mine Hill Preserve for hiking, the Shepaug River for kayaking and the Mine Hill Distillery. Easy access to scenic Litchfield County roads for touring by car or bicycle. 7 miles from New Milford, 8 miles from Washington, 14 miles from Woodbury, CT's antique capital. Close to the Gunnery, Rumsey Hall, Canterbury Schools. Good dining at Carol Peck's Good News Cafe, the Mayflower Inn and Spa, and the Bridgewater Store Bistrot. Less than 2 hours from New York City and on the way to the Berkshires.
